just want to know how many people in this j@p chat forum are japanese or not coz sometimes i feel like talking to a non-japanese.
Suijen
^ That's because there are only like 3 semi-regular Japanese posters.
kunomchu
I bet some members wish they were japanese. Sad but true.

Nope not japanese but I like anime :P
Suijen
^ anime has some good points. A lot of it is generic crap though. I remember my brother downloaded 3 anime series, all of them about some loser guy who magically is loved by many women.
intestine_treasurer
most of them dont know english
ronin
^Somewhat true. Some real Japanese people that I did business with online or communicate with through emai in the past have trouble writing perfect engrish or need some translator software to write to me. That’s what one of them told me. icon_confused.gif However, I befriended some older Japanese buddhist monks that visited my college and had a Japanese lady friend that spoke good engrish. They’re real Japanese from Japan not Japanese Americans raised here in the US. “Japanese” regulars who probably write or speak english perfectly are probably 1st generation-3rd generation Japanese Americans from California, Washington State, or Hawaii.

Matsuoka is my last name. That is nice you are proud of being Japanese.
I go to Japan often, to Niigata and stay with my aunt and uncle. And sometimes to Nagoya with my girlfriend to visit her friends, and family. Well, thats really just how it is, and I am sorry to hear about your conflicts with Chinese people. Those Chinese are just plain arrogant and rude to call you "b*tch". I honestly have nothing against Chinese people, and like them also, and Chinese food is one of my favorite food. But you should just ignore those who harass you. I am American Japanese. I see you live in Chiba, I have friend who is from there and I used to DJ with him, and my other friend lives in Narita, she will be visiting me in Christmas.

The poll is completely wrong. This makes more sense:

Are you Japanese?

Yes - I am a fully grown man who uses his free time watching Japanese cartoons otherwise known as anime. I wish I was Japanese and I love Japan more than my own country. I am lying about my nationality on this poll and the fact that I answered yes makes me feel more secure about myself.

or

I am Japanese. <--- For real

No - I am a fully grown man who uses his free time watching Japanese cartoons otherwise known as anime. I wish I was Japanese and I love Japan more than my own country. I'm also an honest person, although I'd LOVE to answer yes.

i don't live in china but i'm sure the chinese communists didn't brainwash the kids coz there's no benefits for them in terms of business and politics. they got it from their grandparents who have lived through WW 2.

actually, since world war 2 there has been anti-japanese sentiments in china (not in HK) but the government has been doing its best to cover it. the protests last time, in my opinion, is a political move from the government, to challage the japanese government for siding with taiwan. for the chinese people, it was supposed to aim at the japanese government (coz of the history books issue), not the people but the media had twist some words. anyway, the best thing to heal this wound is to spread both cultures throughout both lands to minimise the misunderstanding between the two peoples.

by the way, i think the chinese who called you 'b!tch' should just get over it. i mean even the government didn't apologise whole heartly, i'm sure most japanese don't want to go through wars again.
