if theres no farmers then there wont be food for the docors...should doctors and farmers get paid teh same to make thigns even? then the work would be different? should i own microsoft and still get pay the same as the maid for my room? na...

same goes for power i guess, cause..if one coutnry has too many troops lets jsut say..then technology must make up for it..etc etc etc...

Its' pretty much a cycle. We all start off with sticks and stone, but then someone figures out how to make a spear, so that he will be sure to survive against someone with sticks and stones. This continues on until everyone has a spear, and then then someone builds a bow, and so or and so on. Today's weapons are simply a natural evolution of the need to become safer and safer, as well as being able to influence others. The irony is is that there isn't any real solution. If one person has a gun and no one else does, then the one with the gun will bully the weaker people. Thus, they must bring themselves up to similar standards, and then someone else will top that standard. Eventually, you'll get something like the Cold War; a competition that basically drains the hell out of everyone.

^ Actually, that's kind of a tangent. But realistically, you need weapons to protect yourself, or else you'll be screwed over by everyone else. Do you necessarily need to have the best weapons? Not necessaily, you can always go to the 99 cents store and pick up 2nd class weapons that, although are not top notch, are excellent value packs. The reality of the situation is that if you want peace, everyone has to either have the same weapons or no weapons. Frankly, I don't think anyone is willing to weaken himself to someone else's level just for kicks.
