I just saw the new TV ads of Siemen mobile phone with HUGO on it. So COOL!!! Hugo is a thai actor/singer that I really like.. not only because he’s so darn pretty face, but because he has a lot of ‘brains’.. I once read his interview in Sarakadee magazine, saw the interview he did on ‘Joh-Jai‘ and met him in person in some pubs at Tha Pra-Arthit and he was like, woh.. He’s really ’something’.. And .. haha.. thinking about his great-great-grand father is KING RAMA V… Yeb, he’s a royalties. His real name is ‘Jullajak Jakrapong’.. Jukrapong is one of the highest rank royal families in Thailand.. OK, methink he’s like ‘Miller’ from Kaguya Hime ^^;; BUT his great-grandfather married to a Russian woman, and his grand father married an American women, AND.. haha.. his mother also married a foreigner I can’t remember which nationality. So, he’s got like.. only 1/8 Thai blood and that disqualify him from being the ‘high’ royalty.

Anyway, the ads is talking about ‘talking thai’, which is the new function of this phone, able to type SMS in Thai. I like the concept of the ad. Hugo was talking about ‘If you’re going to be Thai, say ‘Thai’ in a right way. Himself as an example coz he has only 1/8 Thai blood, studied in a public school in england and came back to Thailand only once in a while before he graduated from high school, but he can speak Thai like he’s always been here. Unlike some hybrid singers/actors/actress that still cannot speak Thai ‘right’ even though they have been here for more than ten years.. :p Ok, it wouldn’t have this much effect on me if it wasn’t Hugo. But the concept is cool anyway. Almost like the concept of DTAC ads with Prabda Yoon on it sometimes back. That ‘Be Yourself’ one..
