its already cleared that after World War II Japan began to prosper due to American help. America gave lots of money to help rebuild japan after bombing it. Reason why Japanese cars are built better than american is because America invested alot of money into Japans automotive industry rather than its own. After world War II japan became a descimated country with food shortages, Fish was their main source of protein yet they lacked fished because america had destroyed most of the boats. Without America there wouldn't even be a Japan today. At the time most of the countries in the UN wanted to punish Japan like they did with Germany after World War I.

I think Russia and AMerica should have split Japan up and left Korea unified. The Koreans did not deserve to be divided into polar opposites but the Japanese should learn what it means to live under oppresion under Soviet rule, rather than complain about the cruel US occupation.

Many citizens today of the Russian Federation who have lived through the breakup of the Soviet Union long for a Communist style of ruling again. It's coming...

The answer is obvious. It was the americans. However the USSR did steal several of japan's islands but the americans still benefited the most from japan's fall.

Well, the US did do more fighting against the Japanese than the Russians did.
