is it because the chicken can not fly across the ocean? or that the country is fragmented into islands and again the chicken can not fly across the ocean or because the government has a sound plan on how to quickly squash any outbreak? or is it another reasons altogether?

its because the Philippines is a tropical country. im not sure but i think bird flu thrives on temperate regions like that of other SEA nations.

not exactly. the philippines has a warmer temp compared to other SEA nations... and of course, it's an archipelago. inspection starts and ends in every port of call.

It's because the government, Department of Health, Department of Agriculture did a good job containing the bird flu from reaching the Philippines. They monitored the entry of any kind of birds that came from other countries who got affected by the virus. One time, they intercepted several lovebirds that came from Europe, but since those birds stopped over in Thailand, they slaughtered those birds.
