i don't think that only stay in Christian or "born Christian" people's converting to non Christian, it goes for Catholics changing to other Christian sects and churches. I'm INC and I saw it alot.

I don't know, i'll probably receive a good kick in the a$$ back to Christianity. The Filipino devout Catholics I know seem to be too kind to do that

^Converting from Christian to Islam is nothing compared to converting from Filipino to Polynesian [if you know what I mean]... LOL.

I think the only reason a Christian/Catholic would convert to Islam is for marriage.. Well, except for Robin Padilla.. but he's an extreme case.. Anyway, it would be pretty hard for the person itself. Imagine, not eating pork!!! And not eating at all for 14 hours straight during Ramadan season!
I dont think the person will be ostracized for converting to Islam. It is his personal choice. Some more, the church now is an advocate of tolerance for other religions.
Even if I am a Catholic, i believe that other religions have their merits too. I actually believe that we all have the same God, but we just have different forms. As long as a person has faith, that's ok with me..

christians were almost in the right path, they just need to build up their faith to grow spiritually to be an evident follower of Christ..... they don't need to change their religion to search for such attention and care..... because they will miss what really God offering us.... and for sure you guys know what i'm saying.........

Faith is rather a hope to the best of your belief

Conversion to a different religion is always a sticking point for a given religion, be it Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, etc, etc. Especially because it's regarded as a "loss" to that religion.
It's even worse to add the consideration that religion is private stuff, ie it belongs to the basic human right of each person.
I think, tho', that religions shouldn't be so much attracted to the quantity, but the quality of the worshippers.
But, yes, this ain't an issue to be solved overnight..
