I don't mean to be ethnocentric or racial.
But out of curiousity and just for fun, what ethnics is the most beautiful Indonesian?
Actually I think many Indonesian are beautiful in their own way.
Beautiful apply for both sexes, male and female.

Actually this is come from my curiousity, why there is many "Cut" and "Teuku" (both are typical Acehnese names) as Indonesian actor and actresses in Indonesian soaps (Sinetron).
And there's also some Sundanese girl become models, and actress such as Maudy Koesnaedy and Desy Ratnasari.
And the most beautiful woman in Indonesia (in my humble opinion) is Dian Sastro, and she is Javanese.

Maybe I have to ask Mbak Furansizuka about this

Uhm pretty much all but if I had to pick I would say Javanese.
And people from Jakarta but that's so mixed.

The Sundanese are generally good-looking due to healthy diet of fish and vegies in their dishes. The local Arabs are also attractive

In nutrition and diet point of view, I agree with you.
Sundanese had fair and healthy skin, and most of them had slender figure, thanks to their raw vegies diet.
I think Sundanese food are the most healthy food in Indonesian culinary art.

Once I've visited Ciptagelar, a traditional Sundanese village on the slope of Halimun mountain in Sukabumi. The villagers are maybe the purest Sundanese in West Java. Their ancestry can be tracked to ancient Hindu Pajajaran kingdom. Their main diet include cooked carp fish (ikan mas) and raw veggies (lalaban) with chilli sauce (sambal) and tofu or tempe. And when I go to bath at their open air bath (pancuran). I can't help to notice the naked villagers bathing.....
The woman had quite fair and smooth skin, the body is quite slender but well built and ehm....., sexy .
The male are muscular with smooth and fair skin too.

It's really great to visit traditional Sundanese village..!

Sundanese averagely more pretty girls than to other ethnics, but they are not the prettiest.
Isn't that the last miss universe Artika Sari Devi, who represent Indonesia Melayu girl from Belitung!

Javanese averagely are not pretty, in fact most of them are just below average, but the pretty javanese will be much much pretty than the pretty sundanese. I don't know why.

Artika is Sundanese actually, her father works at PT Aneka Tambang. Her complete family name is Artika Sari Devi Kusmayadi.

Mas Pur is right. But the fresh lauk dan lalapan are not only good for the skin but also for the body odour. Sundanese women got the sweetest aroma.

And yes Artika is Sundanese. Even if I havent read any articles on it, I still could recognise her Sundanese traits in her- her face and the way she acts and speaks.

IMO each ethnic has its own beauty. And it depends on what type of beauty you like the most. Sigi Wimala is a Javanese and I think she's more beautiful than Titi Kamal (a Sundanese).

Titi Kamal is not Sundanese. She is pure Minang. She just happened to run a Sundanese resto.

Oh yeh Sigi is cute. I like her Chinese/Hong Kong look . Just like Danish. And Danish actually doesnt have any trail of Chinese blood in her. She is Sundanese with a bit of Arab from her great grand.

Who is Sigi? Danish(orang Denmark)? Any photo?

Batak people, male or female, has too masculine feature, like wide and strong jaw. Strong skull bone accent, especially around eyes, but they surely have beautiful cheek bone.

IMO, batak has all two extreme.
My ugliest (hm.., sorry ) college friend is batak, but my ex also batak, and she's drop dead beautiful.

So..., kalo batak cakep, pasti caaaakep banget.

filipinos or chinese in indonesia

filipinos are not ethnics in Indonesia .

The most beautiful Indonesian are Dutch-Indonesian, or ummm Chinese-Indonesian, or ummm Filipino-Indonesian, or ummm whatever Indonesian that isnt mixed with Indian.

If I'm not mistaken, Indonesians prefer Indian or European look. They consider them hot.

I don't know what happen to pure Chinese in Indonesia... maybe due to in breeding or something else but majority of them just came out looking out of whack. Too many Chinese old hag (virgin) around. I think some of nice looking Chinese men should go to Indonesia and help these old ladies out... to correct the gene pool there.

In terms of Indonesian mix with other nationalities- there's almost none of that Filipino with Indonesian; and Indian with Indonesian also very very rare. Unlike the Dutch or even the Chinese, the Indians seem to exclusively marry within their own community.

Maybe due to religion?

nah....artika isn't sundaneese she's definately javaneese but she's from solo "putri solo" (i dont know why solo people have lighter skin than any other javaneese )
her mother and father are from solo, then when his father have to work in PT.Aneka Tambang they left to Bangka and artika was born in Bangka

Check her last name. Kusmayadi is very common Sundanese name just like Kusnaedi. Then check her way of talking, perfect Indonesian but the flow sounds like someone who uses Sundanese alot.

Paramitha Rusadi is Sundanese also, her sister is the folk singer Ulli Sigar. This name confuses people into thinking she's Bataknese since the name Sigar is pretty close to the Batak clan name of Siregar.
