Since there are quite a few alternative names for India, I thought why not list them all. If India is called something else in your language list it here.

Here is the list:

India - Given by British or the europeans I guess
Hindustan - Mughals used this.
Bharat - Named after some king
Indios - Greeks and Romans
AryaVartha - Abode of the Nobles

Desi?

Desi is a slang word reffering to Indians.....not India.
