Okay.. I was just wondering, what rappers do you guys think are overrated?

Yeah.. so I may as well start off.

50 Cent and the whole G-Unit crew is overrated. Lloyd Banks is pretty cool though. ack not hatin on G-Unit though.. they can be cool at times.

Kanye west.I hate this dude so much.He can make beats but thats about it.

Daaaamn... are you serious? If anything people tell me he's underrated and I agree with them. He's starting to get more credit now, which I like.

Mike Jones is overrated too. For some reason I like him though, he's not that good a rapper but I don't know, just something about him.

I just dont like his rap style and everything.Both cds,no good tracks.The only song i kind of like is "all falls down" song but thats about it.hes also a hypocrite but lets not go into that

Tupac for sure. Im not saying that hes bad but he's definitely not the greatest.

Tupac is pretty overrated. He's really good but what if he and Biggie were still alive? Would people be calling them the number one and two greatest rappers of all time? But yeaah..

Oh man, that IS one bold statement. That was only from Source though(wonder what Vibe and XXL would have to say about that). I don't think Nas gets enough credit though.

I think snoop sucks and puts out garbage even his first album wasn't that great. I think that most rappers out right now sucks too. HipHop has become just another extension of pop.

50 Cent(duh), Tony Yayo(Omg he sucks. tha only thing I liked from him was on 'DJ green lantern's invasion pt 2' or w/e and he was rapping over tha phone. its sounded alright at tha time), Kanye is okay. I'm not tha biggest fan of his but he's cool. I love Tupac so much , I never really considered Lil Jon as a rapper , Young Jezzy(I just do not like him at all for some reason ), and others that I can't think of

hell most rappers these days suck to me, i rather it go back to the old days like when i was listening to notorious big,now a days they always have to mention that they are a thug/gangsta or some other stupid $hit which annoys me.

Kanye west is currently on my hate list. Mainly because he's getting mad cocky nowadays and is always preaching. His new album, I thought had like one or two good songs besides Diamond (which got annoying fast). To me the best part about his new album was the Broke Phi Broke Skits.

2pac to me was one of the best if not the best. I would put Eminem up there as well. His beats are HOT. Hate on eminem all you want, but he does have talent.

I just DLed West's new CD like 10 minutes ago. Only listened to the first two songs and got bored of it.

Nelly and Ludacris with their story book rimes gets on my nerves.

Tupac was the greatest and is the greatest as far as I'm concerned. He made a $hitload of songs in his short time. So yeah if he was still alive he would be the best now too.

Anyways, 50 cent, G-unit, all the other mainstream rappers are overrated.

he isnt the greatest just cause he made a whole heepa songs in a short period of time. $hit u can get sum bum on the street and tell him to record 3 songs a day, 7 days a week and he wouldnt be the all time greatest rapper. pac represented true rap and his songs speak the truth. thats why the classic rappers and classic rap group were dope cause they speak the truth. but pacs death did make him more famous

these new rap groups (g-unit) are weak as $hit cause they rap about what the people today wanna hear and it's all about beats.

not all mainstream rappers are overrated. and what? underground rappers are more ill than the mainstream ones? i doubt it.

2pac did $hit with passion he put lyrics and a beat together and made it a miracle. He's the best like I said noone comes close to him.

And yea, MOST mainstreams rappers are terribly overrated. They appeal more to the public then what they like. A lot of underground or new rappers that make it big begin to suck. Only a few have kept it good and real.

Don't know all his beats. I'm sure he did a lot for most of his songs though.

I agree with Nihonto that eminem isn't at his prime anymore. His last album, Encore, definitely sucked compare to his two previous ones.

For 2pac to die at his age was a huge waste of talent. He may have died years ago, but his songs sounds like it was written just yesterday as people can still relate to it.

Pretty much all of them! But definitely 50 cent, Ludacris, and Eminem... course the only rapper I like is Outkast...
