Why do I hate these ppl? Cuz my own dad is one of them. He said he wanted to go to Laos for a vacation. He refused to let my mom go with him so he went alone. He eventually had an affair with a 23 year old lao girl and even married her as a 2nd wife. He bought her moutains of gold jewelry that he never buys for my mom. He gave her family $4000 that we could've use to buy my brother a car. I eventually discovered that he has been having an affair with her for 3 years already.

I have lost my respect for him. Even my love for him. By doing what he did means he has no respect for us. He did not stop to think how this would affect us, his family. He chose a young woman who he hardly knows, over his wife and his kids who have been there for him in times of struggle. What did that lady give him that we didn't? What makes her better than us? If he wants to live with his 2nd wife might as well not come back to California only to be shunned by relatives and his family.

Instead of giving them money for a chance of education and a bright future, these men turn these young girls into prostitues. Its not the girls' fault. They grow up in poverty with no education and with money as the only goal in life. Its these men's fault. Instead of setting a good influence and image, they offer them money into bed. Its cuz of this act, is why so many young girls' lives are ruined. Because they don't know whats right and wrong. All they know is that they need money.

For those who have NOT experienced this situation, all I know is that for me, it was very surprising to get over with. My dad is messing up his own life, not mines. I'm going to take an unorthodox stance on this. However, I do not condone the act of prostituting oneself.

These girls are not as stupid as we make them out to be. Alot of them choose to live this kind of lifestyle. And alot of these "victims" know very well what they're getting themselves into when they run across a Hmong man from America. They know and yet they are still willing to prostitute themselves to these men for money. The sad truth is that these girls make a very good living this way. Some of these girls put themselves through school by prostituting themselves. And some support their families this way.
