That news of an 86-year-old man from the U.S. who was arrested for having sex with very young Filipina girls... (I don't know much about the details of that story)... really made me mad. Now, there are these sick people running websites that show pictures of very young (8 to 9 year-olds even) Filipina girls showing their underwear. I think the parents themselves are the ones selling their children to these sick web operators. Matter of fact - the pictures/videos from these sites are for sale ... REALLY! This is really something we should stop. I know that sex and porn sells and it is really good business, but for Christ's sakes, spare the children. What do you think?

seeing this $hit is like a puch to the gut. the government need to start setting up laws to deal with these internet porn that uses kids and trying to pass it as a legitimate modeling sites when its not. my bet is that these are run by foreigners looking to take advatage of 3rd world children.

Then why in the fook did you post the links then? You could explain it without posting any possible illegal porn links. If someone clicks on those sites, their IP adress might be recorded there and the authorities might investigate that site along with the IP addresses that visited the sites and DSL ISP’s aren’t static like AOL dial ups. (Mods you should delete the links if it’s illegal porn).
Anyhoo, didn’t a Catholic Chinese Filipino mayor close down all the titty bars near the abandoned American bases after the US left in 1991. Also doesn’t that Philippine government cracked down hard on prostitution unlike some of it’s Asian neighbors since they’re Catholic zealots. I read about this in a travel book and watched about it on a Filipino news show.
Filipinos need to learn from the Japanese during the Edo Period or the Chinese during Imperial times or some modern Europeans like our former colonizer Spain and most of western Europe who are now more xenophobic towards immigrants especially muslim immigrants from North Africa, Turkey, Pakistan, and Middle East. One of the annoying traits I was told by white Americans and a Vietnamese veteran who lived there as a refugee about Filipinos is that they are friendly towards foreigners that come to their shores. Well Filipinos should be less friendly towards western foreigners especially tourists unless if they’re business people that plan on investing technology or industry in the P.I. and provide the jobs to the people there. Don’t trust anyone that comes to their shores. Beware the foreigners. (that’s what Finnish friend said.) P.I.’s past history should indicate not to trust foreigners even if they might be very friendly to them. P.I. should rely less on tourism to boost their economy which is a joke and invest more in becoming a heavy industrialized country, developing indigenous technology like computers and automobiles that foreign countries can import to their local markets, invest in building naval shipping trade, and create a flat tax rate on all goods. That’ll boost up the economy over there in the P.I. As for parents that do this, I don’t know what the justice system is like in the P.I. but they should use corporal punishment, give lengthy sentences, or give the death penalty in cases like this even if it doesn’t involve in any murder. They need to be very strict in laws like our neighbors in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, and China. That’s how you create order in a society.

I happened to stumble upon this site by virtue of a pop-up window selling seemingly legit items such as computer periferals. For weeks I have been looking to buy a portable fire-wire hard drive and then came this pop-up selling - guess what? - a portable fire-wire hard drive - which was exactly what I was looking for. I clicked the pop-up window but then all of a sudden another window containing this Philippine Child Modelling site (the one I posted on the topic's opening). It was purely accidental that I happen to stumble into that site - hence my disgust. Now - if my IP address (per your mad theory) was traced by the FBI, and I get arrested by simply "clicking" to buy a hard drive... then my lawyers would have a field day on this. Do you know how to interpret these laws against child porn? If you do then be my guest and try to inform us... otherwise, I don't think that by simply clicking on a seemingly legit pop-up window could deem anybody "in trouble". If a researcher of an anti-child-porn organization would click on the link that I posted - would that researcher be held liable too? I think your knowledge about laws on child porn and how violations are punished and how laws are enforced is too elementary and out-right erroneous.

Not only is that disturbing and infuriating but its beyond morally wrong. These clowns that are exploiting these children should be put behind bars right away. That unfortunately seems to be the case. With both parents needed to go to work to provide income kids nowadays are forced to become latch key kids and have no attention whatsoever so they turn to this sort of crap and wind up going down the road of ill repute. Its still no excuse though in my opinion for the adults to be exploiting them like this the kids might be confused but the freaking adults( and I use that term loosely) should know better.

Absolutely no one! And thats the problem. Back in my days both my parents worked but they had strict almost jail like restrictions to what I could do and what I couldn't do. Not to mention they hired babysitters for me as well as kept tabs on me like you wouldn't believe. This responsibilty shoudn't fall on the gov't's shoulders but I do believe parents should take more intitative to cover all the bases but thats just me. Bottom line is this exploitation of child pornographgy has to stop and people around the world have to start getting tough or this problem will never go away!

I think it's the government's job to prepare parents for parenthood. The world is constantly changing, and the wisdom of the old no longer applies in today's world. The government should give subscriptions to its own parenting magazine or something.

I think that would definitely help. If the governemnt was to decide that they would do more to offer support in terms of fiancial or even moral it would do alot in easing the burden of double income families and decrease in chances the possibilty of this child pornography thats so rampant nowadays because of lack of attention, discipline, guidance, and care.

^ Welfare system could help, but just monthly common sense pamphlets would do wonders. It's not that parents don't care, it's that they don't know, and damned if they're going to complicate their lives with parenting magazines.

Welfare system would suppress the problem but It wouldn't necessarily fix the cause of this problem. Like all family problems I think it all begins at home and can only be fixed internally. And I have seen some of these pamphlets which amazingly enough offer alot of constructive advice on dealing with matters like these. Im surprised more people don't take the time to read it though.

Your quite right. Philliphines is too nice to other people who come to their land. They should know by past history of what happens when they just greet an unexpected stranger into their lands. But like most people, you gotta learn to build trust. But That doesn't always work....anyways....philliphines is obsessed with money. My friends little cousins in the philliphines just come up to her and ask her for money, and it happens often. It's ok to give money to family, but she complains that her cousins parents urge their children to always ask. Its not polite to just use other people for their money, in fact i hear it happens often, especially when vendors realize if your american, they raise the prices of their items to make more of a profiet. Honestly, philliphines has a long way to go for improvement.

It is a known fact that other countries have this problem too, especially in many 3rd-world countries in Asia - seems like child porn is the way to boost their economies. The Philippines being such a religious (Catholic at that) country, tagged as "The only Catholic Nation in Asia", should be the forefront in solving this problem. [Not that being religious is tantamount to being righteous, hehe, but at least the morals are a bit "checked"].

And as for parents who allowed their children to be exploited in these websites: - I think these parents are being paid by those who run the websites. It is so sick for these parents to make money out of showing their kid's underwear.

i've read a few articles about $kken dirtyhit like these that are run mostly by fukken dirty @ss foreigners, mostly white motherfukkers, under the name of a filipino as a front. Even the legal porns that come out of the philippines are run by foreigners under a filipino partners name. I agree with what some of you guys are saying about being too nice to foreigners....no more "Mr.nice guy" man.....Fukk these foreigners who come into our country and take advantage of our filipino hosoitality.

i do understand what your saying, but in contrare i've read and observed that govt.s especially those of the first world where most of these are sold to, are really cracking down hard on these as this day and age more so than before in the past, in fact rapes and sexual abuse i've read especially in the us have gone down significantly thanks to some new protocols ( ie idaho laws that prevent charged molesters from living near schools and the identification and notification of past offenders through the internet). as for child protection in Phils and other nations, i actually feel that more government protection today are stronger and ongoing than it was before (ie new children's protection via treaties signed by more states, Bantay Bata [which to many filipinos are culture shock, an "american" form of "spoiling your children and intruding to your lives as parents, and other program such as are becoming stronger and more organized all around the world]
