Full Version: The term Bolehland..is it an insult to Malaysia.
The term Bolehland or BolehMan's land is a generally a name used by Malaysia haters to trample Malaysia. These terms are common in Singaporean forums and forums by ex-Malaysians . To all Malaysians who are very proud of the name of our country MALAYSIA, would you tolerate such name to be used for our country. I know Bolehman and Bolehland are not dirty words, but can't they just call it Malaysia. Americans are quite annoyed when called Yankees, wouldn't we feel the same if Malaysia is kept being referred to as Bolehman's land and Bolehland.
Ppl who hate our guts can call Malaysia anything they want.

When other races 'maju', they got angry with them too. That was why at the end of Mahathir his regime, he said this, "I have achieved greatness as a PM, but I only fail in one thing, changing the malays."
Well, nothing to be surprised about anyway since Mahathir is not really a malay, and I guess that was why the malays were angry with him.
Drug abuse, hate, incest, liberal extremism (culture of miniskirts and gay marriages), murder, racism, rape, religious fanaticism, parochialism, snatch theft, spoilt-bratty behavior, tribalism, wife abuse, child abuse, all that is associated with the malay race.
To them, malay is the biggest impediment towards building a truly Malaysian nation, and should be chucked into the dustbins of history.

The question asked by many of my fellow Chinese is this - Why can't you just tell the malay peoples to adopt Chinese culture which is superior?

Well, if you consider the government's attitude, it may not be too surprising we're considered to be a Bolehland. After all, this is the place where you have more Class F contractors than doctors per person, a national space programme while middle-class citizens have to filter teh tarik water, the tallest twin towers when middle-class neighbourhoods are hiring private guards by the dozen...
What Malaysia needs is equal distribution of its equity. everything else will fall into place.

yeah...i think the term "malaysia boleh" is to create a more positive mind among us malaysians so that whatever challenge we are facing everyday in our lives we just look back in the "malaysia boleh" thingie and well..just say yes to every impossible things 
It's pscychology. the term boleh is an effort to instill into malaysian that we can berdiri sama tinggi, duduk sama rendah. after decades of colonisation, not to mention different ones, Portuguese, Japanese, Brits, we have been let down by our own mind that we incapable of doing better than a farmer or a sphepherd. I've always been quite irked by the "Malaysia Boleh" slogan ... especially when it is used for something silly like breaking records. Like what some of you said, what's the use of spending your time and money breaking records if they aren't even beneficial to the people?
And the largest songkok at the 101 Mall. Yup, it's ridiculous. What was your motive again? Breaking records?

Lyk wat i posted in 1 of e threads,let me repeat it again, livin in Flats not sumting bad lyk wat sum of u tink, we can make new friends, interact with different races, coz in 1 flats, theres a mixture of different races, and the government wants 2 promote racial harmony, so it is not that bad, coz we can interact with each other and learn to tolerate each other..so everyone will understand each other even though they are of different races and religions..
So u see, its nt sumtin bad livin in flats..anyway we kno tat spore gt limited lands, n sum of e lands r needed 4 certain tings lyk 4 recreational purpose n so on..so its nt sumtin tat e govrnment 1 too which to build e flats but its bcoz of e disadvantages such as limited land ...so in 1 flats, ders a quota lyk how many chinese,malay,indian can live der, n so on 2 promote racial harmony..e gvrnmnt tri 2 turn e disadvantages into sumtin tat can benefits dem, n since ther r many races livin in spore juz lyk malaysia, so tats y they gt tis quota tings 2 make sure thers equal amount of races livin in tat 1 flats[ of coz they muz compare wit e ratio 2 make e propotional equal]
but of coz diff people tink differently, so sum ppl may 1 2 buy houses in malaysia coz they r cheaper n so on..or want 2 rent it so can gain money or sumtin lyk tat, they r many reasons of coz, as it all depends on e ppl
Wateva it is u people call it, sardin cans or wat..i tink e government did a good job 2 change e disadvantages into sumtin tat benefitz all of us..so i dont mind if its small or wat..wat i kno is tat dey did a good job n i really appreciated tat..
