I don't think it will happen any time soon, but what movie should Hollywood make about Cambodia and cambodian people.

For a great historic movie, i would like 2 see a movie made about Angkors last greatest king, Jayavarman Vll and how he became king. From his father reign 2 his, those years are very instresting.

For a more recent ( not that recent ) i want 2 see a movie made about the killing field but not like the other. this tells the story of the last apsara during Pol Pots reign of terror and how she survive to pass on the dance 2 future generation.

Do you think Americans would enjoy that kind of movie?

most likely not, but if they did, it should be about that.

i doubt hollywood will do that, they can careless about Cambodian history.. tho if they did, that would be awsome... yeah!!! ....
unless you become a director, writer or whatever it is to make it in hollywood...

If Hollywood produced movies in Cambodia, then Laos and Burma are mostly to be the same.

Let's make it clear, when we talking about Hollywood. We talking about big business, profit in return as much as they could.
So making movie in Cambodia is pretty far off-topic. I mean the world barely knews about Cambodia culture, history, people etc...... I assume small proportion do actually consciouses of Khmer Rouge Regime (killing fileds).

If you are the producer and decided to make a movie in Cambodia. You will highly failed then little success.


Fortunately, if Cambodia exposes and raise more awareness to the western world, then there is likelihood of chances. The country isn't looking to bad at the moment. The tourists already indicated some prosper in future.
