Japanese gangsta rap, hahah

Personally, I think Korean rap sounds better than Japanese.
Korean sounds like it was made for rap. beerchug.gif
But my friend showed me some clip of a īfamousī Dutch rapper embarassedlaugh.gif , there isnīt much of a music-industry there, but it was funny as hell, they had no charisma, and the words did not flow at all, maybe itīs because of the language. But the audience didnīt know better and cheered. embarassedlaugh.gif
But the Japanese rule in the rock-department. beerchug.gif
Some chinese singers can make a good rapping. biggthumpup.gif

Japanese Gangsta Rap? O_o. I see yakuza's coming thru dancing and singing slicing all their enemies with their swords :P. Japanese people are good at the rock indeed but the rapping still needs more practice.

I remember I heard an korean verision of Gangsters Paradise made me laugh pretty much thoe.

Chinese singers, the guy playing Takumi in Initial D Live Stage had a good voice and made some soft rap music.

let me tell you, it was laaame, no charisma, no talent, there was some pale white ugly boy performing, my asian friend translated while he was rapping and had to giggle herself. I thought he acted like a black gangster with īyo, yo, yoīsī and he added some some īfu-kī īfu-kingī ī$hitī in his dumb, wannebe tough, cool lyrics, really laughable. I donīt think dutch is a very strong or impressive or pretty language to sing in. my friend told me they listen especially to american music, in short thereīs no much of an entertainment there.
I can honestly say that (even ) China has better rappers.

Korean rap, you should check MC Sniper out, I have one of his cdīs, itīs called ībe in deep griefī, and I love the tracks number 2 and 16, itīs a good album overall.

The īproblemī is that japan is quite a well-off country. but Iīm sure there are rappers who can rap roughly about things.
I though Zeebra was good.

I agree with this.
Japan is pretty bad with rap for the most part, so the idea of "gangsta rap" and Japan together just makes me feel weird to think of at this point. Japanese does not flow well with rap. Maybe in the future it will be better.

I like this song a lot though (you have to have RealPlayer before you listen)

Co-Key - Aho bounce

It is creative because it actually uses a real Japanese song in it and the guy is actually using rhythm in his rap....a few Japanese rappers seem to fail to understand the importance of rhythmic patterns in rap. embarassedlaugh.gif

Here is another somewhat interesting rapper:

Hannya - Shinpai sunna

It's creative too because the guy is actually using some Kansai dialect in it. Kansai ben sounds better than hyojun go in rap (even though there's not that huge of a difference between the two, it just generally is better suited for rap with the words and way to say things).

Dragon Ash really isn't Gangsta' Rap but they're pretty good. Them and Rip Slyme are the biggest Rap acts in Japan right now.

The second rap is called "Don't worry" like in a slangish way...some if it I didn't understand but generallly it's like "Don't worry...such and such happens and such and such...I'm here".
meiki
the second one is quite relaxing, I like, but Iīve heard better ones.
neonflux
i recommend 50 Yen, Nee-Pac, and Notorious A.T.O

just kidding, but i Jay chou's the foremost rap artst in asia, theres a good reason why. (good lyrics, voice, and beats)

if you do intend to listen to j-rap, i dont recommend it.
that korean rap for Windstruck movie was pretty tyte

I donīt think japanese rappers have it that bad as black US rappers, cause you know, Japan is quite a save, wellfaring country, and guns are forbidden and they have future-opportunities.
But they do have īlittleī issues to rap about, probably like how materialistic their environment has become, where as black rappers like to rap proudly about their blingbling and how pore they were.
