Most of the topics here are either made by non-Japanese or part-Japanese. Rarely do I see full Japanese people posting as well. I first came here 'cause I wanted to know more about the other half of my racial background, but this is pretty sad. Most of the topics here are mostly about stereotyping the Japanese/hating on the Japanese. We don't even get any input from the Japanese side. I still want to learn Japanese though.

I think the reason why there are so few japanese is because not alot of them immigrate out of their country. I mean if you were born in Japan and enjoy all its 1st world advantages, why would you leave? The japanese that has immigrated are those from the 19th century who moved to Hawaii and California. By now they are probably 4-5th generation.

I was going to invite some Japanese from another forum, but I don't want to spam as I don't really go on that forum. Also due to the hostility towards the Japanese by some members here I'll feel bad inviting them here if they get upset.

Japanese culture was also very disrupted in USA and Canada because of concentration camps in the two countries. Japanese property was sold by the governments for little money of which none went to the Japanese people displaced. My Great Grandparents (Grandfather's side) were interned and had all of thier property legally stolen... no historical artifacts for me. Then again, few people ever are given any true reparations for unfair treatment by any government. Black people for being enslaved in the USA and Carribean, Chinese for being used as cheap labour for building railroads across North America... The Natives, period.
I wish I knew more Japanese. I love my Japanese family and wish I could do more for them.
