I am looking for Japanese msn contacts/friends.
I'm a finnish boy and I am very interested in learning to talk Japan
and visiting Japan.

I found this forum and got a thought *Hmm maybe I find some Japanese friends here* and desided to register here.
Seems like it's a really nice forum.

and, even though it's pronounced "konnichiwa", does it really matter if you type "konnichiwa" or "konnichi ha"?
I've seen both lots, and based on the kana used, "konnichi ha" makes just as much sense
but hey, I'm not japanese, don't take my advice!

You can easily get Japanese penpals somewhere online if you type in "Japanese pen pal" in the search engine. I came across one legit site (I forgot now), that posts both male and female Japanese people looking for English/french/whatever penpals. I signed up and got a few responses, but only 2 really kept in touch (now I keep in touch with neither, lol) for a while. One lived in a small town in Japan and was studying Italian and other languages, which I found really impressive. We talked about culture (well what we could anyway) and really just getting to know about one another. Another actually lived in NYC as an accountant (and his english was actually pretty good) but visits his family regularly in Japan.

I never got too personal with these penpals, but it was still nice to get an email from Japan and try to communicate and understand eachother. I've also been in a Japanese chat when Dir en grey opened one of their sites temporarily. Although there was a lot of trouble since the English speakers little or no Japanese and vice versa, but it was so cute cause everybody was trying to communicate as best as they could because we all love Dir en grey's music, bless their little hearts. ^_^

You are no fool. As soon as I read the title I knew what he really wanted. Honestly it does not bother me if someone does not have intrest in japanese culture. The problem is when they have lack of respect for it. I would be upset about people like him. But there are so many like this member that I cannot concern myself. If I got angry over each one that I met I would be in t he hospital by the end of the week.

I was trying to say that there are so many japan obsessed people that try to say they like japan culture. When in truth they just like japanese women. If was to get angry at each of them. I would be so angry that I would become sick and require the medical attention.

Because many are not really interested in japanese culture. Especially non asians that claim to have interest in japanese culture. They tend to really just be interested in japanese women.... That is not always the case but on average I would say that it is. I would have alot more respect if they just came and said they just want japanese women. Then it would not be so much of a problem with me. But they try to be deceptive.
