Kamusta. I'm new.
Anyways, I was recently at a concert for this great organization, Gawadk Kalinga ( www.gawadkalinga.org )
It's a charity that really works and actually makes a difference (you should see their pictures of smokey mountain!)
I'm just wondering what everyone thinks of them, or if they've ever contributed to it? Seen it in action?
If there's a GK concert or show near you, I suggest you go. Not just to help benefit the people in the Philippines, but also to see it. Though a little long, the one I saw was amazing. It tried to show the Philippines long ago, then what it's like today and it had things about how there's always hurricanes and things like that, so you know why it's important the people have these GK houses.
Anyways, so yes. Just wondering about this.

Elysia,
There was a person here named EMERALDRAGON7 who claimed he was going to do some philantrophic work in the Philippines by donating to an orphanage... in his post he said:
"Thats what I'm planning to do this month. I'm going back to the Phil. to help out an orphanage organize with new books. It's a step. I use my anger in two ways, challenge and use it contructively for the kids back home, because they are Philippines future. Not the damn adults who should know better."
EMERALDRAGON7, is a very sweet, loving and caring person... I suggest that you send him a personal message (PM) and tell him about GK. I have no doubt he will give out some money or support - as he is the most kind and loving person towards the Filipino people.
