Anybody know when asian week is coming up I know I is in the next month just not what week

Blacks get a whole month while Asians get only a week?

lol. There's an Azn month. I don't remember when tho. I have no clue when anything-month is. -_-' It might be May, but I may be just saying that because my birthday's in May.

What is asian week?

It's just this thing people do in schools. They read up on Asian cultures and stuff like that. It's alright. Us Azns don't get special treatment or anything tho.

I don't understand why we need such things as "Black History Month" or "Asian Week".

I actually get a negative feeling when I'm flooded with propaganda that over-glorifies African-American achievements.

If I were interested in black history, I would look it up myself.

The same goes for Asian and Latino history/culture.

I don't quite mind it, as long as people don't expect me to know anything at all abt Azn history. -_-'

Besides, we get free food and stuff from it. Everybody likes food... lol

So no one knows when Asian Week(month) is??

There is something in the US called "Asian/Pacific Islander heritage month"

(even though East Asians and Pacific Islanders aren't exactly very closely related)

It's in the month of May.

They might as well had called it "The Others Heritage Month" or "The Miscellaneous People Heritage Month"...

The whites do it as a hand out I believe. I did not even know about this asian week until I just read this. In a way it is insulting. African americans have only several hundred years of history? Yet they get a month. But asians have thousands of years history. China alone should have its own month. They should have a week for each asian group if anything.

But this isn't about history. That's just silly. This is about minority pandering. Why do you think there is no Celtic, Greek, Mesopotamian, or Egyptian heritage month?

Oh I know that. That is why I said it is just a ridiculous little hand out. It is like here take your week and shut the hell up. They do so that we cannot say they do nothing.

He meant that Caucasian-Americans gave minorities black, Latino and Asian months or weeks so we can't complain.

I didn't even know we had a Black History month until it ended.

That must have been difficult seeing as how they have the whole black american campaigne going during that month.

I think it is different in British Columbia, Canada. Probably not advertised on the scale of America.

I thought Asian Week was a magazine or a newspaper or something. I never even heard of it. It's sad that black people only get a month and Asians only get a week. Native Americans get nothing.

White people get the rest of the 365- 7 - 30 = 328 days of the year then?

AND SOUTHEAST ASIAN MORE SPECIFICALLY INSULAR SOUTHEAST ASIANS HAVE ALOT IN COMMON WITH PACIFIC ISLANDERS

& ON TAIWAN THERE'S EVEN AN AUSTRONESIAN HERITAGE FESTIVAL WHERE ALL AUSTRONESIANS GET TOGETHER AND CELEBRATE THEIR SAME CULTURE REGARDLESS IF THEY ARE AUSTRONESIANS IN MADAGASCAR (AFRICA) AUSTRONESIANS IN INSULAR SOUTHEAST ASIA (INDONESIANS, FILIPNOS) OR AUSTRONESIANS IN THE SOUTH PACIFIC (EASTER ISLAND)

Ok ok now there is a month for Asians and there is a month for Native/pacific Islanders, Hispanic ect, I've never heard of the week but there probaly is.

ASIAN/PACIFIC ISLANDER HERITAGE MONTH IS LIKE MAY! I THINK

i always thought Asian Awareness Month was in May, cos that when we'd always have our asian auditorium at school (during May). anyways that's what i've been told.

In LA. We have a club that is Asian Nite.

Food from all different Asian cultures is there.

Look up and you see Asian go go dancers doing their thing.
