Ok ok ok i'll answer your Q using my kind of professional term..
Based on your observation, it is actually a fact that North America have a much higher percentage of gay/bisexual/homos. One must be taken into consideration that Phil have about 60% more population in comparison to Canada, and USA have a much higher number of Bisexual in sight.
They even celebrate Gay Pride and it's one of the biggest event, Canada's bisexual society is also much more in sight, you will see them celebrating their wedding. Canada's gay society can be seen anywhere official such as goverment agencies,church and big organization.
Phil bisexual are mostly concentrated in Bars,Parlor's and Malls interms of majority
London gay society holds a very strong position in the society, they can be a town official and be gay at the same just like Canada.
I'm quite puzzled how you never noticed this, in short North American are more Gay than Phil, we are pretty much the minority...
So next time you see a gay Filipino, don't be surprised coz they ain't the cherry of the vodka.
And it's not 38%, more like 10% if you ratio with the population, North America will probably give you 20%, Thai might just give you 30%...

you see a lot of gay people in the hip places in manila. other than that, there aren't really a lot.
lol. i remember my cousins brought me to all the hip places in manila to show me how modern the philippines was, and i'd say a good 50% of the guys there were holding hadns with other guys. LOL.
but hen you go other places like the tiyangge or a restaurant, there aren't that much. there are probably a few, but you';d only see them if you look.

Yea I noticed that too, alot of filipinos are gay...id say around 40% for the males, i see alot of filipinos in my everyday life so thats how I know. And the females too, alot of the females have male haircuts, and are dikey looking. HAhaha!! even with all of these problems we have towards gay peeps we are still way ahead of the rest of the world..even though we are a catholic country, filipinos(well most) dont treat their gay country men like outcasts(which is what most fear will happen when they admit to being gay)...i would be willing to bet that there are many gay peeps in the world who would not hesitate,given the choice, to trade places with the gays in the phils...$hits i read an article somewhere about this gay dude who went to the philippines and he saids that gays in the philippines were alot better off than the ones in america(who likes to portray themselves as tolerant)..so even with all these problems you mention they are in alot better shape than their counterparts

Don't start with statistics when you're not really sure about it. And it all depends on how friends react to someone being homo, maybe they're not really ' true friends'. I don't think most parents in the Philippines would treat their kids as garbage if they do find out if their son(especially if their ONLY son) is homo. And Filipinos are still conservative...take a closer look before judging.

Just my observation, since a lot of the Filipino male students at my current college are gay. Just wondering..shees. There was this tall Filipino dude at my high school who's very athletic in tennis, intelligent...etc. He too was gay....but I never found out until after he graduated from high school.

Hi flyazngirl....sorry to offend you if you're Filipino....but this is just my observation of the Filipino guys I've come across. And no,...not like what some of these angry guys here are claiming, I don't hang around gay bars,..nor am I gay.
I infact am straight, and if you look at the love-relationship threads,...I've posted a question on how to date this Taiwanese girl. Just the guys here who are hot-tempered.
And I don't know of any other gay-related threads in the Filipino chat area since I've only been around Asiafinest for the last two months.
I don't mind the angry response...it's just that some of the Filipinos are defensive..and I actually said in the title of the thread that this is a touchy subject and I didn't mean to offend anybody.
