I really wanna learn it.Actually i have never seen a shy Japanese!!! confused.gif

That's just their asumption.

Japanese people are not really shy.

All you need to do is break the ice by talking to them first.

I see lot's of them getting along with Chinese and other races in my university.

Some of them are even in a relationship with Chinese from the mainland.

Once you get to know them Japanese people can be really talkative.

I think reserved would be a better word than shy...many older and even a few younger Japanese would see the Outgoing Brashness of Americans as rudeness..
DavidChen
do japanese blink alot? are they nervous?
Adee
I think they're more reserved not shy.
UntiedState
I tend to be shy... so do most Asians I see.
Takashi
I don't think they're overly shy.........pretty much the same as any other ethnicity. There are some that are ridiculously shy but there are those people everywhere.
toki
hmm. but my experiences in japan is that they are friendly people. and outgoing and like to have fun. icon_confused.gif

im shy around guys. its just something thats expected in some cultures. like girls in korea arent supposed to try to shake a guy's hand unless its offered to her icon_confused.gif

Yeah but not to the point at which it's just ridiculous, like if they're interested in you some don't look you in the eye.............first time I noticed it I was so confused.

well i not entirely entirely sure about japanese culture as much as i am about korean culture. but looking someone in the eye in korea is considered a sign of boldness which is considered rude. its mostly used for elders but can work in a gender role setting also. i remembered in japan that the guys were able to be friendly at girls but not too much the other way around. i think its like that in a lotta countries though

ooooooo lots of jguys then? Doesn't surprise me, after all you are very pretty love2.gif
Did you visit a lot of places in Japan or did you stay mainly in Tokyo?
Ton_Yu_Kuk
Who win it if you think about finding a partner?Koreans or Japanese.

Takashi
^ Personally I'm more attracted to Korean women but I still like Japanese women. I don't think either is better, it can just be a hassle dating a Korean girl if you don't have some Korean blood in you which thankfully isn't a problem for me or very rarely anyway.

i moved to U.S. at 8 but i moved back to pusan at 12. and came back around 13. and i go back almost every summer. so its been almost half my life here and half life in korea icon_neutral.gif but i also had to stay a lot in other asian countries because my mom had to travel there. its complicated icon_confused.gif in japan, i usually always went to shimonoseki first through the pusan-shimonoseki ferry (korea/japan ferry).

they have good restaruants there. and then we work our way up towards kyoto, tokyo, osaka, and lastly sapporo. so ive been a lotta places in japan.

I rarely use the shimonoseki ferry, usually just fly to jp or sk.
Your mum is a businesswoman right? That would explain it, my mum is always travelling icon_rolleyes.gif
You've been to quite a few places then, broken quite a few hearts on the way?
