i think one is katakana is the sound representation of Japanese and Kanji is Chinese characters. correct me if im wrong.

when you type in Japanese, I think as you type the hiragana, it automatically turns into Kanji or something like that.
I don't know how katakana works on the computer

to me they are they same...when i type it the they will automaticlly change it into katakana or kanji

katakana or kani??? it depends..if ur using windows XP..u can install Japanese language to..
so when u type, usually its in hiragana but u can change it to kanji by pressing space bar..

i think you type in romanji that transformes to hiragana (or katakana by choice) and you can transform that again to kanji, takes some getting used to, but once you do you write just as fast as normal english for example
