A new serial was produced on the life of Emperor Chandragupta Maurya who ruled in the 4th century BC in India.
The serial is not bad but I think the last serial was better.
Here is the trailer.

Interesting. Didn't know there was such a series until I saw this post. I looked for it on YouTube and found the following scene where Chandragupta Maurya meets Alexander the Great and Seleucus Nicator:

Chandragupta Maurya & Alexender

The meeting of Chandragupta (as a young teenager, not an adult) with Alexander is an actual historical event, but as usual in television shows, it's highly fictionalized... and in the case of Indian shows in particular, highly melodramatic too. It's interesting how Seleucus Nicator is also present there, which adds some nice foreshadowing (though there's no way to tell whether he was there in the actual historical event). It would have been nice if they could have got some actual Mediterranean actors to play Alexander and Seleucus, but that would probably be too difficult in India. I wonder who plays Seleucus' daughter in the show?
