Yes. Very dark.
kkdkckrl
The girl on the bottom looks indian, not the top 2.

All the 3 kids look very lively! Is that how an average khmer kid looks like?

If so, khmer folks look good! I don't know how they would turn out if they grow old, but right now really good looking kids.
Viesnabotkampujia
These kids naturally not that dark they are overbaked themself in the sun.

I think the 2nd boy and the 3rd girl can easily pass off as Indian to others.
jiggyiggy
Maybe the girl in the 2nd photo. The kids in the first photo look pretty much like East Asians with dark skin.

I agree... but if the 1st girl said she was Indian, I'd believe her aswell. I've already seen a few Bengalis and Tamils with that kind of look.

Yeah, I would definitely believe her too. But, would the average non-Indian in the West believe her or easily tell that she was "full" Indian? I just think the other two could easily get away with it more to a lot of people, especially the last girl.
agni-to-ignis
the first two can never pass as indian in any sense of the word.........but being tamil myself i would agree that the 2nd pic has a tamil or srilankan look.......but im not sure whether its the way that photo is taken.........it seems a bit weird.... icon_confused.gif

LOL, that woman is Shakuntala Devi! You have never heard of her? She's Indian, alright. I hope you do know that there are some Indians that look like that, without having any immediate mongoloid blood. sure.gif

What do you mean by "Indian hair?" Indians are notoriously known for having stick-straight hair. But, some Indians can also have curly/wavy hair.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shakuntala_Devi

Shakuntala Devi (Born 4 November 1939 in Bangalore, India) is an Indian mathematician often referred to as a "human calculator". She came from a Brahmin family in Bangalore, but over the years her father had done a variety of circus acts. Her abilities were first noticed at age 3 when she began doing her father's card tricks, he had his own touring magic show by then, by memorizing in order all 52 cards. When she was six she demonstrated her calculating and memorization talents at the University of Mysore. At the age of eight, she thrilled the learned audience of Annamalai University by doing the same

No Nepalese mentioned there.......

This kid is also a full-blooded Indian with no immediate Mongoloid blood:

The girl in the first picture could, but not the second one. But regardless both these girls look unindian to me.
pun187
.
ndnboi
india is so diverse that these people could fit in somewhere in the northeast(manipur etc.) and maybe even central india.
juwanFromTaiwan
Yea the Indian look is somehow non-mongoloid even with Vedda features. Those deep-socketed eyes are just too hard to imitate.
jiggyiggy
deep-socketed eyes?
*Karma*
I think those two girls could pass of as Indian.
The second girl looks a bit like my aunt.
kollision
I personally have never seen Indians that look like that.

The first one could pass as an Afghani, as I have seen one that looks very similar to her named Gulie (?) on the show NEXT on MTV.

They look Indian to me, but that's because I have been exposed to Indians with this look. They look more Indian than the Nepalese-looking Indian lady I met yesterday.

The ones who don't say that they look Indian probably aren't used to seeing Indians that look like that.
Jagger
I agree. All the Khmers posted in this thread could pass off as Indian, simply because of the fact that Indians are too diverse. They do look Indian to me (especially North-East Indian)... but don't have the so-called "common" Indian look that most of us are familiar with. Either way, they at least look more Indian than these full-blooded Indians:

The first one could pass off as a Filipino to me. I've seen a lot that look like that.

The second one is hard to tell since it's a baby. My Paki friend said that a lot of Pakis look Chinese when they are kids and that his family made fun of him when he was smaller because he looked Chinese.

the top picture: no
the bottom: possibly yes
juwanFromTaiwan
For the most part it's the eye-socket, nasal, brow area that determines this. The girl at the bottoms looks like she's got substantially socketed eyes and if you look at her nose-bridge and brow region it's 1 piece rather than a pushed in broken nose-bridge. But if you look at some of the more Veddoid Indians they do have that pushed in nose region going on just like most mongoloids. So it the deep-socketed eyes with the fully refined eye-lid region that makes an Indian really look Indian.
