Hmm that is weird. Dahmer is a german name too. I don't fell like eating anyone though. Maybe its the ton of pork they eat. Papua New Guinea cannibals used to call people long pig.

It could jsut be some highly industrilized nation problem with some mental problem given people a desire to overcome someone by eat thier flesh or some other weird psycho fetish.


Most of the tribal groups did it becuase they thought they'd gain the power of the person they'd eat. Some American Aborigines and African did so because they thought it honored the dead. Their own relatives who recently died were eaten.

Here recently about some obscure boony chinese group who dig up bones from grave yards to make ghost soup. I suppose that's cannibalism though you tend to think they killed the person too.

I thought the pictures were not as scary as I would have imagined, but it's scared the $hit out of me anyway. If it was in colour than they would have looked even more gross.

While I agree with Kulong that it's narrowminded to condemn an entire group of people for one whack job's crime, but reading the link Xiao posted, it's easy for people to conclude that the Japanese are disturbed.

I'd suggest you all read the page where it's described how Sagawa is a celebrity in Japan. Just read the, "No Trial, Just Fame" chapter. It's just as disturbing as Sagawa's crime if not more disturbing.
