I'm thinking of either getting white highlights or dyeing the front part of my hair white but I can't find any white hair dye at any of the stores i know. Do I have to go to some specialty store?

I don't wanna get it at the salon cause it costs a lot.

Can I order online and if so, where? I live in Canada btw.

I'm growing my hair out long now cause winter is arriving and usually, I'm not bothered by long hair in winter cause I rarely ever sweat.

Besides, my barber at the salon says I look better with longer hair as it matches my face more. And I have to admit, it does look better. I thought shorter hair worked for round faces better but in my case, the opposite seems to be true.

I think you can get it at Spencer's or Hot Topic. If you can't find white, how about trying silver? I'm sure it will have the same effect.

I agree with Theta. If it's just highlights you're getting, platinum blonde. Don't get white highlights, that would look so stupid.

Oh and the reason I say it is because you're Asian and you have dark hair...white highlights on black hair is normally a no-no.

Dude, you either completely dye your hair or don't do it at all. Highlight is the gayest $hit on guys. Trust me, I know.

is it even possibly to dye hair white without any form of bleaching? to dye my hair a light brown, i had to put blondish color in it. but to actually make it lighter, its usually is just bleach since my hair is so dark.

well if its just white highlights, its fine i think. i've seen it on a lot of asians before.

I havent seen u with long hair, but u had the normal asian hair where the hair is straight and thick.

I put bleach on my hair for about 3 hours and it came kinda close to white but it's still a very light yellow and that turned my hair to straw and it was very strawwy. i suggest you buying a platinum wig and styling that up. it's a lot easier than doing it naturally. well, the color itself is pretty unnatural unless you're an albino!

yah red would be cool too. but i like the girlish kind of red color, the one that looks very bright.

I was all into dying my hair and all that. But then i thought that i wouldnt probably look nice and that almost all asians had dyed hair that it felt like it wouldnt be unique.

yah the same thing happened with me. i wanted to dye my hair cause all the other asians were doing it and then once i started doing it, i realized black hair wasn't so bad after all and so i went back.

but now i want to dye it again.

Mayb cause its winter. Colour in the hair would go great for the white winter. Especially a vibrant colour like red.

High lights would be somewhat gay....u should try to make it like black going to red. So u get a nuance with black, orange, red. (like the girl in the picture) but then its gotta be shiny or it would look dead (like 90% of most dyed hair)

so black at the roots and then gradually turning to red going to the tips?

im not really sure, but u could buy two colours and dye one side and then mix them and dye middle and not try to dye so hard.
Or buy colour and apply with careness and try to make it not extreme where ull have really red and then none existing red (worst would be like a side with red and a side with no red, u got to fade from black to the colour so it looks like its continues colour.

What does DR look like? We need a visual.
