Obviously you know nothing about the people in the Philippines. Do you know about the ifugao, they are indeginous to the Philippines but sometimes have chinesey eyes. When you mix a white skinned spanish and a native with asian eyes you would sometimes come out with someone who looks like her.

How pathetic that you have to claim mestizas as chinese too.

Most chinese who assimilated in the Philippines would have an -co in th end of their name, like "Cojuangco".

Fil-Am... Anybody would say she's a Chinese.. Look at how flat her face is.. Look at the aesthetics dude. My wife works parttime as a Cosmetic Surgeons Assistant.. She's currently going to medical school and eventually will become another Plastic Surgeon. I see photos of people around the world all the time and I study their faces. Face it already she, isn't chinese. Even by her name you can tell she is filipina with spanish, not chinese. You can't go saying what a person is just by looking at them, especially with all the generalizations/stereotypes flying around.

Okay she's a filipina-mestiza who looks a little chinese. But that doesn't mean she's chinese. Trust me if she was chinese, I would have known about it. Alot of tsinays in the entertainment industry love flaunting that their part chinese or chinese, like Heart Evangelista she does it all the time.

Spanish is different from being hispanic. Spain is a sophisticated European country. Mexicans are not, okay.

Lopez is a non-filipinoized Spanish name. So the chances of her being mestiza are pretty high.

Most Chinese living abroad are ashamed of their Chinese heritage and do everything to hide it. Look at the majority of Chinese living in SouthEast Asia.. Like Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam. They obviously Chinese but will spit in your face if you point that out.

But in the entertainment industry its an big plus if you are part chinese. So why hold it back if you have nothing to lose, but much to gain. So unless you have actual facts and not opinions that she's chinese, then you don't really have an argument.

Their might be something in what your saying. In the populating of the Philipppines by the malays their were a series of waves of settlements. First came the proto-malays which became the ifugao and other indigenous people. And the came the deteuro-malay(modern malay) which were said to have mixed with other people like the chinese and developed iron tools, before reaching the Philippines. So she could have been of deteuro-malay descent.

A long time ago when I was working at the Ritz-Carlton there was this Chinese Filipina that look completely Malay.. Closer to that host of TRL. You know what I mean.. We had a conversation 1 time and she thought I was from Turkey.. but I tell her Im Chinese and she starts spittin' Chinese at me but I cant speak Chinese very well at all. That's the first Filipino that was Chinese or Part Chinese that I came across that wasnt ashamed of being Chinese.. I was Because I know alot of people are ashamed..

It different in the Philippines. Though some chinese-filipinos get sterotyped as being miserly, corrupt, and greedy
