Drunken fireman fondles schoolgirl's buttocks
YOKOHAMA -- A Yokohama Fire Department official has been arrested for fondling a 16-year-old schoolgirl's buttocks, police said.
Mitsuru Kaneko, 43, the firefighter, was arrested for breaking a Kanagawa Prefectural Government ordinance outlawing public nuisances after he allegedly rubbed the girl's bottom on the platform of Konan Chuo Station on the Yokohama Municipal Subway Line.
Kaneko denies the allegations.
Police said that Kaneko had been drinking with his colleagues on Friday night and rode the subway, heading for Yokohama. However, he fell asleep and went past his station. He got out at Konan Chuo Station and was preparing to catch a train back to Yokohama.
