Boy arrested after girl threatened with knife

A 15-year-old high school student who allegedly threatened a 12-year-old girl with a knife in Nerima Ward, Tokyo, has been arrested.

According to police, the boy from the ward approached the girl outside the apartment where she lives at about 4 p.m. Thursday. When the girl entered the apartment, the boy forced his way in after her. He chased her up the stairs, pointed a knife at her and shouted, "Don't move, or I'll kill you!" the police quoted the girl as saying.

She screamed running out of the building and the suspect was saw chasing after her with the knife.

"He's always out riding his blue mountain bike. Even when you yell out to him, he just ignores you and rides away. He used to just ride around and around in circles, screaming out 'Aaahhh,'" a friend of the boy's tells Shukan Shincho. "He used to deliberately ride his bike in bumpy areas, clattering over the top of these ridges and screaming out, 'Aaahhh' and 'Ooohhh.'"
