Sucks that they broke up. oh well, they've all got their own solo careers, or new bands( like Mana's Moi Dix Mois). But man, did they have some great songs!! Beast of Blood, Au Revoir, Bel Air, Gardenia, Illuminati, Syunikiss, le Ciel, Garnet, ah, good stuff, good stuff. so, do we still have any fans around here?

accordin to a magazine article i saw this style was started off due to the amount of bullying in Japan, so kids just formed their own groups to avoid being bullied..hence the 'visual' style..

i LOVE malice mizer. i'm very sad that they broke up. i love the video for illuminati and the song that got me obsessed was syunikiss. i love their costumes, though, yeah i agree, they can be scary sometimes. My favorite is mana, i love his makeup and how he always looked so pretty.

i don't understand why people like this band, but i do like the way they dress it's unique and i think it's cool in some ways. I prefer Dir En Grey now that is a great band.

I think you should be asking that in a Gackt thread, but anyways Gackt did not have plastic surgery he just eats one meal a day and exercises 2 hours a day.

Malice Mizer is one of the best jrock bands there are. They were some of the early Goth visaul kei artists, and they opened a path that inspired styles in music and clothes. Currently, Kozi-sama is a soloist, Mana formed Moi dix mois and motite me me produced the disbanded shrawz stein, Yu~ki is a lyriclist with his lyrics in Kozi-sama's new single, Gackt is a Soloist, Kami-sama is dead T_T, Klaha is a pop soloist, tetsu formed Zigzo, and I think Shue and Gaz joined some other bands.

Purple Butterfly is now flying freely in heaven.

I miss MM. When I think about it, Klaha was probably their best vocalist. Now don't get me wrong, i like Gackt too, but when he left, MM's style seemed to change a bit. I don't think his voice would've suited such songs as Seinaru Koku Eien No Inori or Shiroi Hada Ni Kuruai To Kanashimi No Rondo, whereas Klaha, with his more opera-like voice, fits the style of those songs nicely.

I think that most would agree that Tetsu wasn't their best choice for a vocalist. The only song i enjoyed with him singing in it is Kiohu to Sora and Seraph.

i liked klaha when he did gardenia and beast of blood but i really liked when gackt sang au revoir. anata wo dakishime!! i can't spell the rest but i can say it :

Yeah, Au Revoir is one of my favorites MM songs sung by Gackt, along with Syunikiss, le ciel, Bel Air, Illuminati, and a few others i'm too lazy to name...
