Like the title says. The Japanese has another flame to throw in the fire against the U.S. military. and it doesn't help that the dude was black either since other rapes involving the U.S. military were black or included a black man numerous times in the past.

It's interesting to learn about the US-Japanese alliance in defense.

It's also interesting to note that Japan's Defense Agency Director General's name is Fukushiro (shiro sounds like dislike in Korean) Nukaga.

It's about time the Japanese government stop being uncle sam's poodle dog and kick the damn US military out of Japan.

Why can't the Japanese citizen congregate and protest all these crimes the US soldiers commit?

Yes, the Okinawans congregated and held a huge rally about that schoolgirl rape incident.

Hopefully, koijoomi.....Bush's b_tch...gets his a$$ together, gets his head out of his a$$ and starts thinking logically of who to align with.

Hopefully this incident will place some wedge between Japan's subservient c@ck-sucking mentality towards the US.

YES! thats EXACTLY what i expect them to do. it is nowhere near as mismatched as it was when the Chinese had the boxer rebellion. japan is quite advanced...even the arabs are fighting back with american occupation. you would think any normal people would. this isnt just a normal occupation, they got nuked twice man. doesnt that bother them at all...jeez...
Suijen
I don't think the Japanese have it in them to piss the hell out of the US.
Mid-Night_Sun
the radiation is affecting the way they think...makes no sense...besides, the US in japan isnt doing China any favors either.

Why is the US there anyway? Because of China?

The US was there to keep an eye out on the Soviet Union (And China later). By making Japan it's protegé, the US is allowed to place marines in there just in case if anything happens.

The USSR is out of the picture now, and the US, with its resources outstretched, is starting to cut down on its number of troops in foreign soil.

they just have to take it no matter what the usa does to them now for they depend on usa to check china...but i thought they should have more pride than this...at least the people can gang up on that sailor embarassedlaugh.gif

I know who did it, because the sailor was from my ship in Air Dept... Other than that I'm not at liberty to talk about it. Because of him my liberty has been restricted to cinderella.. Anyway I know it's messed up but believe me not all sailors are like that, I know because I'm a sailor in Japan. I'm sorry it happened. That's all I can say. Hopefully nobody wants more than that from our my ship and I.
Ogumo
I doubt you are what you say. However if you are then you already know my feelings towards this and the U.S. armed forces in japan.

I'm not kidding, I'm stationed on the USS KITTY HAWK and right now I'm at my brothers house in Kenritsudaigaku, a 3 minute train ride from Yokosuka. Sorry it happened.. Luckily there's more good sailors than bad sailors here. I know how the Japanese feel towards sailors out here and well it sucks but hey what can I do right? I didn't ask to be here, but someones gotta be here..

Fair enough. However the way I see it is that there are an unacceptable number of "bad" US servicemen in japan. Not just the navy.

QUOTE

Unfortunately that feeling is not spread out far enough. Hopefully with this latest act of violence by the american it will help get the message out. It would sad if no good came out of the death of this old woman. It truly would.

I agree. However I feel that the "someone" should always be japanese.

Ok heres how people get selected to go overseas from the US Navy. All personnel who come overseas have no history of a criminal record and if they do it's nothing major. Me I have no criminal record at all that's why I was selected to come over here even though I didn't want to.

As like you I really do hope some good comes out of this, because I've already felt the heat coming from the Japanese Nationals around this area.

I really wish the USN wasn't here, in Japan, either. This place isn't bad but I would much more like to be in Japan as a civilian, because right now as a servicemember I'm really looked down on, just because I'm here.

The woman was 56? She laughed and cheered as her Father/uncle was raping the Chinese in Nanking.. So maybe that's payback icon_wink.gif

P.S not to be taken seriously but as a novelty for those Japanese that dont want to admit to certain issues..

The only reason why U.S is still in Japan... mainly Okinawa is because of strategic position to deploy force around the region like if they went to war with North Korea or China are whoever in that region.

...and rightfully so. This is not to first crime or even murder commit by a U.S. serviceman on japan shores. It certainly will not be the last. The heat and disgust you may be receiving is very much deserved even if you do not realize it. It may not be so much directed at you so much as its directed at the uniform you wear and the greater oppresive/imperialistic body that you are a representitive of.

In reality I don't have any remorse or sympathy for what you may or may not be dealing with as a U.S serviceman at the moment in your dealings with the public. I see it this way. Perhaps you may have receive a dirty look out there or something less, while another innocent person has lost their life at the hands of another U.S. serviceman. Do you see where I am going? The natural response is anger and outrage at yet another criminal act by these people. Hopefully you do understand the responses you may or may not have gotten. In the end it really doesn't matter either way.

Well it's because of all that cr@p that left me to the "who care's" and "$hit happens" mentality. Right now I don't really care what goes on as long as my quality of life isn't disturbed, but then again my views change everyday. You're right though, everything doesn't matter. Can we centrally democratically ban one member?
Experience
If the American troops are stationed in Japan or any other country, they should atleast have respect for the laws, which they don't. Things like rape, murder, robbery etc., they always seem to get away with it. After they go rape a woman or whatever they just go back to their US of A and the CIA or whatever just takes care of the rest, and they run free like they didn't do anything.
I wouldn't be surprised if this case the American soldier is found not guilty and isn't charged.

Japan is a crucial economic and strategic partner of China in the East Asian theatre.

Personally, my feelings toward Japan would warm up considerably if Japan mustered the courage to kick the Americans out.

Well, pat yourself on the back. You donated some money. Your humanitarian side really showed when you didn't give a $hit about an Asian-American sailor's woes he didn't deserve. In fact, you cited they were well-deserved and righteous. Anyways, good luck on this new found caring about other people. It's apparently working out great.
2nd2none
Well when everyone gives me $hit for something I didn't do, why should I care? I still love Japan though icon_smile.gif.

I doubt Japan would kick out the US military. It's actually beneficial to both countries for US troops to be in Japan. With its low birth rate, Japan would have a hard time sustaining sizable armed forces. It makes much more sense for them to lease bases to the US to help guard their country for them. It's also beneficial for the US to keep an eye on Russia, China, and North Korea.
gaijinkokujin
there should be STRICT, ULTRA STRICT punishment for the service men who commit such heinous crimes.

its bad enough public relations are strained but when fools do things like this "because they are military" and think they can get away with it.

it only fuels more hatred against ALL american not just the military.

prime example: Ogumo

There are strict punishments.... This guy is going to jail forever....
