Drunk teacher busted for molesting woman on train

AKASHI, Hyogo -- A drunk 52 year old Kobe elementary school teacher has been arrested for molesting a woman on a train on Saturday, police said.

He admitted to the allegations during questioning. "What I did escalated because the woman didn't resist," he was quoted as telling investigators.

At around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Okamoto fondled the thighs of a 21-year-old woman sitting next to him a train bound for Himeji.

Two men overpowered him as he was about to get off at Akashi Station, and handed him over to police officers at the neighboring Higashi-Futami Station in Akashi.

He was on his way home after participating in a table tennis match with colleagues. He was drunk at the time. (Mainichi)
