Stationmaster nabbed for molesting schoolgirl
SAITAMA -- A local stationmaster has been arrested for molesting a junior high school girl near farmland, police said.
Tatsuo Kobayashi, 53, from Tsurugashima, Saitama Prefecture, who is the stationmaster at Bushu Nagase Station on the Tobu Ogose Line, has admitted to the allegations.
Kobayashi parked his car near farmland in Hidaka. When the 12-year-old girl approached, he got out of his car and hugged her from behind.
She tumbled while trying to flee, suffering injuries to her right knee and left palm.
The girl remembered the color and shape of the car, leading police to track down Kobayashi more than two months later. (Mainichi)
