Why a person may turn wood. Answers and leads for dummies.
Problem identification: You married the wrong guy.
1, You married late, in your early thirites after trying to develop some kind of career for yourself as an Asian woman living abroad. (A woman's fertility decreases after age 30.)
2, You married someone out of your own ethnicity. There were irreconcilable differences culturally and in values.
3, Your ex was promiscuous prior to the marriage, and was germed: had
liver disease from Hepatitis or some other infectious disease.
4, Your ex slept with a prostitute and then a waitress who was a divorced mother of two prior to your marriage, and didn't tell you until you got married.
5, Your ex had a thing for blondes students at the nearby American university.
6, Your ex had a thing for girls young enough to be his daughter.
7, Your ex mother in law demanded a dowry equal to a king's ransom. She made you spend your lifetime savings on dowry and wedding expenses but nothing was enough for her. She worships the money over family values. She reminds you of Holly Godlittle of the story "Breakfast at Tiffanys."
8, Your ex mother in law who was a sales lady at a hotel jewelry store, and then an haute couteur French boutique in New York is crazy and wants to live the life of the rich and famous. She complains about her Christmas and birthday presents she receives from you and wears Georgio Armani and carries real Prada bags. She has two sable coats, drives around in a Mercedez and a BMW, but only gives you $200 a year.
9, You heard he prefers the single life. You found out he was teaching the singles
bible study mostly comprised of girl college students before you got married.
He cannot accept the fact that a woman can get older.
10, Your ex wanted you to find a job, although you wanted to be a stay at home housewife. Microsoft had just come up with a new system, and there are 60,000 white students in your town you have to compete with to look for a job.
11, Your ex sister-in-law was an old maid and had nothing better to do than
intrude in your marriage, you felt like Cinderella and the step sisters.
12, Your ex's friends and their wives are declasse, and ask you embarassing questions at the church about contraception.
13, Your ex was cheap about grocery money (maybe less than $40 a week).
14, Your ex said negative things about you behind your back.
15, Your ex was missing, you suspect he may have gotten involved in a religious cult group.
16, Your ex is on a business trip to Korea, you call the hotel to be connected but he is out every time you call.
17, Your ex liked to spend the weekend playing golf.
18, You suspected your ex may be gay, if not bisexual. His previous white male
roommate is a pianist and never got married. They seem very chummy on the sofa. You find other notes around the house: telephone number of an American man who was in the Film business in New York.
19, Your ex had mental illness, was hospitalized for months before you got married, and kept it a secret from you.
20, Your ex had tried to commit suicide because of problems with his mother. His father died two weeks later from a brain seizure.
21, Your ex comes from a dysfunctional family: i.e. his mother left him when he was 12 and married another woman's husband who has three children of his own.
You find out that his mother is the daughter of a third wife. You know there is a problem with the DNA.
22, Your ex is such a problem that you think you're going to die of cancer.
23, Your ex and his parents pretended to be Christians, elders and deaconesses at church but lead lives of the anti-christ.
24, You found out your ex's parents lied on a their financial statements
and were able to get a $3MM loan from a Korean bank.
25, Your ex said hateful things because he grew up hearing unkind things being said.
26, Your ex's step father was donating money to Bill Clinton.
27, You heard about the subway fire which killed over 100 people mostly students in Taegu, which is where your ex's mother and step father were born. You also heard that many stores in Teagu burned down this winter.
28, You heard he quit his job. You suspect he may be involved with the young people's mission in Mongolia.
29, No, the person did not become wood because she wasn't African enough.
There is a cult group of bad hygiene, smearing nasal fluid on surfaces, contaminating hands with bacteria, throwing clothes on floor due to this misconception when it is exactly the opposite. I think a lot of people in Japan and Korea are going to die due to bad hygiene because of this misconception.
Conclusion: Wood is better than becoming a tombstone. Singlehood and celibacy can be a much secure and healthier way of life. The only reason you got married was because you didn't have a green card and you regret it. Your glad you got out of the relationship without putting your parents into debt.
But why do Koreans and the Japanese ridicule the woman with interior decorations and what not, when it is the "man" who could be the yellow red "DOGWOOD"? Again why the focus of the attention on the female when the problem could have been with the man with the maternal problems. It could have been the "man" who was a total jerk and needed to be quarantined. This is where East and West are very different.
