Police release security photo of post office gunman

Tokyo police on Monday released a security photograph of a man thrusting a gun at staff at a post office from where he took some 900,000 yen in cash.

The man wearing a dark jumper and a white mask broke into the post office in Hino in the western suburb of Tokyo at about 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 3.

After taking the money, he shot the 33-year-old postmaster in the hip, seriously wounding him.

Most likely the bandit probably was a formal officer or a security guard.
