Man's body found with stab wound in debris of his home

ISHIOKA, Ibaraki -- The body of a man with a stab wound has been found in the debris of his home that was burned down in a fire late Monday night, police said.

Local police are treating the case as murder and are poised to conduct an autopsy on the body of the man, 60-year-old Masayoshi Suzuki, in a bid to determine the cause of his death.

Suzuki's body was found near the backdoor on the first floor with a stab wound to the chest. He was living by himself, local police said. (Mainichi)
