Ex-city official with corpse fetish gets 16 years for murdering teenage girl
NAGOYA -- A former city official with a corpse fetish was slapped Wednesday with a 16-year prison term for murdering a 17-year-old girl.
The Nagoya District Court convicted Yosuke Naito, 28, a former official of the Okazaki Municipal Government in Aichi Prefecture, of murder and abandonment of the victim's body.
"The motives for his crime were bizarre and extremely self-centered," Presiding Judge Hideki Shibata said as he handed down the ruling. "He committed the crime to satisfy his distorted desires, and its consequences were grave.
The judge also pointed out that the defendant opened a website for those who love corpses after committing the crime.
After getting acquainted with the girl through an Internet matchmaking site, Naito strangled his victim with a rope in a car parked at a vacant lot in Toyoake, Aichi Prefecture.
He then wrapped her body in a plastic sheet and abandoned it in a bamboo grove, the court found. (Mainichi)
