How are you guys, this is my offical im back again thread. I just came back from indonesia and it was a long and very tiring but fun 1 month break and I have so many stories to tell, some I cant remeber to clearly though 2 . Now whether you belive some of the stories or not is up to you but i swear to you they are true so here goes.

So firstly my trip consisted of the following travels where i met so many people and slept in so many weird places like the car back seat etc just to milk the most i could out of my car rentals 2

sydney->bali (bali 1 day)
bali -> jakarta (2 days)
jakarta -> bandung ( 1 day)
bandung -> majalengka (3 days)
majalengka -> bandung (1 day)
bandung -> jakarta (2 days)
jakarta -> bali (7 days)
bali -> jakarta (till almost the end)
jakarta -> bali (till the end)
bali -> sydney

When i went to bali we did the usual, jet skiing, canoing, para sailing, go carting shopping, beaching, snorkaling, pubbing and relaxing !

Let me warn you if you dont already know, bali is a mystical place and the things there should not be messed with. After going to the garuda wisnu structures where they have the air suci i was told of the consequances of entering such an area when you where unclean (specifically for a girl). At the time i though it was bull, well not exactly i sort of believed it but it was more like yeh .. whatever.

This was until one of my friends who was a girl actually got sick and had strange things happen to her like voices that where not her's, funny dreams, fevers that doctors could not work out and vommiting out weird items. We then actually found out she had been kesurupan and i couldnt believe it. The things that happened where truelly weird, weird shadows etc. She's ok now cause we contacted the right people but after seeing this i will never ever again underestimate the supernatural !

Well thats a lie actually cause i did sort of and i copped something as well. For the guys that know whos heard of erup2 (the sundanese term) ? This is all new to me and i swear unless i felt it myself i would never ever believed it.
So i slept at a friends house and he had a spare room on the top, he told me not to sleep there cause alot of his friends and relo's who have slept there have felt strange things, me being a raised ozzie thought, yeh mate whatever. So i slept there at night. This is what happened ....

I was lying on my stomach with my legs apart my hands streched out and my head turned to the right. On the right side was a wall and on the left was a door. As i was nodding into sleep i heard voices and felt the door open, it was the voice of 2 women that i heard. I thought it was bibi comming up. So i tried to turn my head and open my mouth to say 'siapa itu' but i couldnt ! I couldnt move my legs, my arms my legs my eyes or my mouth and i felt it tough to breath for like 3-5 minutes, all i could do was say some prayers in my heart. I was mostly hopping that this is all that would happen and i wouldnt see what the hell it was that was holding me down or i would be truelly tramatised 2

After i could move again i turned on the lights, looked around, grabbed my mobile phone and called my friends mum to let me in the house cause the placed i slept in is seperated from the rest of the main house. I called up and I said ' Ahhh tante, boleh tidur di dalem karena ada yang aneh banget di kamar ini' and she laughed and said we tried to tell you didnt we 2

Anyway the next night I did sleep in that room again but i did the correct procedures and said the correct prayers and i slept fine for the next 3 nights, i was scared but i wanted to conquer my fears 2 I swear though i was scared !

Anyway alot of cool stuff happened as well that was not as supernatural, when i get the chance i'll post up the pics.

Actually you woke up during the sleep paralysis stage

This stage consists of the whole body been almost paralyze, your cant move it, but you can feel the weight of it. The chest feels heavy, like u cant breath, and it feels like ur heart is being tickled sometime....

Now, during this stage, you are still sleeping, which mean your still in the dream state..So you hearing something was probily some sort of dream.. Ill give u an example..

One time i got so high, i was passing out, so i went to sleep, but i woke up during the sleep, but my body was still asleep, the only think concious was my mind, even thou i was still concious i was still in a dream state, wihch mean i was HUllicinating like crazy and to top that i was HIGH so it looked like a witch came toward me and i sprung up....lol.

so yea

Sleep paralysis

I wasnt high and i know what i felt, trust me i wasnt sleeping, i was close but i was still awake because i could hear the peter pan alexandria soundtrack playing in the background. You can try to explain it anyway you want but until you actually experiance it the way i did you wont believe it.

Sido, I have a filipino girlfren who came from a lineage of gifted psychics. She sees things like aura, guardian angels etc.. and she's said the same thing about Bali, that it is an island so full of supernatural spirits, especially in the temples. She only went to Bali once and suffered a respiratory attack in one of the temples and was sent to hospital and then flown out immediately. She's never been back since.

Yeh thats true, i have been told many times when you go to bali to respect all of the rules. I always do that even though previously i only sort of believed it, but whatever the balinese say should be respected because if not you will suffer the consequences. The temples, praying places etc are said to have someone stand guard so i always excuse myself when walking past those areas.

Ji Won is right though. There is a slight delay in how your physical muscles responds during 'sleep' mode while your mind is still in 'active' mode. Its like a twilight world when this happens.

The same experience happened to me twice where I knew I was awake coz I could hear the background of a motorbike whirring in a doppler effect, and images of a white haired lady cackling were flashing iin my brain, and try as I might to open my eyes and scream, it wasn't possible for a few seconds which seemed to last like an eternity.

The second time it happened to me, it was the soundtrack of Sade playing in my stereo, and I had the image of a humongous green fist coming right at me at speed! I was able to shake myself and open my eyes juz in time before impact!

BTW, i forgot to add that i read abt this phenomenon years ago which explained that these twilight sensations are usually brought on by vibrations from an external sound, like the doppler effect of a passing motorcycle or your tape. Usually triggering off cellular memories of old bibiks and childhood images (Incredible Hulk?)

regarding the sleep paralysis, I'm sure it can be explained in medical terms, but how come in Sido's case, it happened in one particular room to almost everyone who slept there...any explanation?

My sentiments about Bali are the same as yours. The island feels very mystical. I wouldn't want to fool around with the spirits and makhluk halus there. Hopefully you also had other encounters of the more feminine, cute and human kind.

I have to say, there's something abt the tropical night air in asia, it's kinda heavy at times and your senses are tuned and imagination runs riot ...

I never get the heebie jeebies in Europe or Africa..except once in a pub in Edinburgh

At dreamland beach in bali, the waves are totally ruthless here, i went in the water just to body surf and it took me 10 minutes to get back in, never will body surf there again, this place is reserved for hardcore surfers only. The floating coconut heads and branches in the water doesnt help either.

Since you spent your time in Majalengka too, why not try rafting (arung jeram) in Kali Cimanuk?

I would have loved to but i have quite a few relos in majalengka and i always get dragged around to visit all of them. I could swear that i spent the most of the first 2 weeks just viting relo's the next buying stuff and the final weeks cramming everything in. In bali i was visiting alot of friends i have there along with also trying to enjoy myself. I was annoyed i didnt get to go to waterbom though but i did alot of other stuff and go karing there is an absolute ball 2

Wow, sido, i saw somebody experienced a weird thing like u said, this person was kesurupan because he did what he's not supposed to... it was creepy as hell, i had to cancel my plan to poo on the river after that (i was like... what if it's happening while i am pooing.. i think it would be not cool at all ) , conclusion.. i dont want to mess with this kinda thing

the incident was real.. right in the front of me.. at this mountain (i dont remember what the mountain is called and where exactly it is) outside jakarta.. i was doing plonco to my junior at that time.. lucikly nothing really happened after that.. all went smooth and well... coz i ll be pissed had the roh halus messed with my sweet and cute juniors

@purple.. why dont u go back to indonesia for a while and have a lot of them .. (lol it would cost much more wouldn't it, but u can have some sightseeing as well)

Those stories about ghosts and spiritual things are interesting. I never experienced it except when I was a kid I woke up at 3 in the morning and my eyes struck at a giant black thing like a giant human standing in front of my bed. Since then I moved to other bedroom.

ji -won, maybe u are right that it's the upbringing.. my folks never talked to me abt the supernatural but around me were stories from my cousins of all sorts of spooks and hags.. the worst one was abt a woman who went around stealing babies in the night... what was she called.. something like pontinak...

I think these stories were circulated to spook village folks so that some thugs would be able to carry out their smugglin activities...or whatever the hell they were planning to do..

There was a milk bath and i wanted to do it to but everyone already had the $hits with me cause i was taking to long with the creme bath, they didnt want to wait for me any longer 2 so i had to hurry up


Ngak jadi neng, aku di bandung cuman satu hari jadi cuman ketemu sama sodara, nyesel juga sih, tapi cuman sehari di bandung ngak sempet kemana2
