Daisy is the first major co-production between the film industries of Hong Kong and South Korea. It is helmed by Hong Kong director Andrew Lau (Initial D, Infernal Affairs Trilogy) with a cast mainly filled with stars from South Korea. Set and shot entirely in the Netherlands, Daisy tells a story of the inevitable showdown between a detective (Jung Woo-Sung) and a killer (Lee Sung-Jae) who fall in love with the same woman, Daisy (Joen Ji-Hyun). The cast also includes Simon Yam, who is best known for being a regular in Johnny To's movies. The script is penned by Korean director Kwak Jeo-Yong (Windstruck, My Sassy Girl) and the music is done by Japanese composer Umebayashi Shigeru (2046, House of Flying Daggers, In the Mood for Love). According to Hong Kong's The Sun, The film will be premiered in Seoul February 23 and starting next week, three leads will take an 8-day promo tour in Hong Kong, the mainland China and Taiwan.
