How did Ganja become a part of Rastafarian lifestyle? Also how come Ganja use is no longer widespread in India? Influence from outsiders? Indian culture has become so prudish.

Ganja is still used in India. Its usage rates are about the same as they have always been (only slightly less due to more strict drug laws which have been in place for the last 100 years).

People still drink Bhang and still smoke marujuana here and there. Its just not that big of a deal. In Nepal, it grows wild like a weed, and farmers often pluck it and burn it in large piles, to clear the fields for other uses.

I think it's time South Asians petition the US gov't to allow us to smoke weed legally since it's been a part of our culture for a long time, I mean wtf the Native Americans get to smoke peyote.

i wonder if ganja in india is as bad as it is in the philippines? the ganja they had was brown & seedy (yuck). not like sticky green american pot.... the best kind!

I heard marijuana grows in large quantities near the foothills of the Himalayas. Is this a native plant of India.

the pot in southern india region is of high quality. Goa has good pot and some of the best hallucinagens on the planet. i smoked plenty of good pot in south india. i heard that hasheesh in the north is unbelievable. i've yet to try bhaang thou.

next time you visit India, goto Goa, LSD and Shrooms are rampant. good times.
