Here's one for you guys of Pilipinas history buffs. (Just don't quote me on this, since I probably would get skinned on this one.)
The most successful and the most bloodiest revolt against the Spanish regime in the Philippines was NOT led by either Bonifacio or Aguinaldo. That distinction goes to a man from Visayas. His name is Francisco Daguhoy of Bohol. It took the Spaniards some 85 years to put this guy down!
And his name is quite interesting too. It came from "dagon" (Cebuano) meaning "anting-anting" (Tagalog) or "amulet" (English), and "hoyohoy" (Cebuano) meaning "hanging mahinay" (Tagalog) or "gentle wind" (English) -- hence, the name DAGUHOY. And I won't be surprise if the "down-and-under" Ausies' sport chant -- "oy-oy-oy" (not sure of spelling) -- actually came from this Cebuano's "hoyohoy" -- and even maybe the Tagalog "hoy" meaning to "gently" (supposedly) call someone's attention.
