I dunno why Gujarati food isn't more popular in India. As for me I can't get enough dhokri.

As sad as it sounds, I never actually had Gujarati food before and I dated a guy from a traditional Guju family for a year. laugh.gif


All I know is that I can survive on dosas, idlis, naan and butter chicken. icon_smile.gif

dosa and idli are south indian, chaat is gujurati...and what exactly is dhar bhat?

yeah, samosa chat...good stuff...yum!

You sure chaat is gujarati? my mom and other relatives would only make it once in a blue moon, mostly had it at weddings. dhar bhat is white rice with lentil soup poured on it. Ghee, different types of shak, and even a lil yogurt can be added to it.

dhar bhat sounds good...as for chaat, i guess most ppl just assume it's gujurati since most of the chaat places are owned and operated by gujuratis, but maybe not...either way, chaat is good stuff.
