It is apparent that His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni bears great title as being the son of His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk, in my opinion a Great King who has presided over the Cambodian throne during its transiational years. Given, the works and failures of King Sihanouk, I wonder whats the general consensus of the Cambodian people towards the reign of the recently coronated King Sihamoni. So far, do you like his stances in government? Do you think he's too passive? Too active? Are there any recommendations that fellow Cambodian nationals and expats have towards His Most Royal Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni?

I in particular am intrigued with the man, his tastes in the classics and the dance; a rather well rounded man, and well suited for presiding over a democratic and peaceful Cambodia. Considering the age of the King, I hope that his presence on the throne of Cambodia, the traditional neighbour of Thailand will be positive in nature, I do hope that he continues the good ties between Cambodia and Thailand.

Perhaps, in the fullness of time, we might find a greater cooperation between Thailand and Cambodia through the guiding hands of our Kings.

To me, King Sihamoni is doing a great job as being Khmer king. He seems doesnt involve in political as serious as his father, ex-king Sihanouk. And base on the Royal constitution, King Sihamoni is doing a right job atm, we hope to see more brotherly cooperation between Cambodia and Thailand and Cambodia and Vietnam as well as with Laos.

You're very optimistic in your views, Denith. Im very happy to see that. I too share that. Albeit, I would like it if King Sihamoni and His Majesty King Bumibol the Great were more vocal. I do dream of a greater Thailand-Cambodia-Laos in the near future.

We do feel the intense cooperation between these three countries that you mention, plus Vietnam. Everyone is going into a new era, people should be more open-mind and internationally and interpersonally cooperative.
