It's totally fine being dark. Khmers aren't the only dark asians. btw, I really resent khmers that claim being mixed when they actually aren't because being mixed to them, is the "in" thing. I'm chinese-cambodian, but I hardly ever mention that i'm mixed, only when i'm asked then I'll explain.

I'm surprised you've never heard of prahok. It is a fermented and salted fish paste. Good stuff.

how do you go about telling whether they're lying or not???

Prahok is not a dish, it's an ingredient! That's what distinguishes it from other asian cuisine. I guess you really don't know what prahok is as you stated above.
Isn't Prahok similar to Padaek in Lao and Plaara in Thai? Mok La Hong sounds like papaya salad, i.e. Tum Som (or Tum Mak Hoong) in Lao and Som Tum in Thai.

oh i see. yeah, but its not enought to judge the other person whether they're lying or not. it would be easier for me to believe they are mix then to doubt.

you're right. it's the internet and it's easier to take one for what one claims. yet i occassionally can't shake off the urge to expose a liar in some rare cases. lol

haha...well i have had to ask my gf to spell a few things, but really i know how to speak/read it more than i write...i've been exposed to /learning tieng viet for over five years now! my dad also used to be fluent in vietnamese....he lived there for two years....long dao (spelling?)

Random thought: I just signed up a new account. Notice the period after my sn "crew." Can a mod or Ben fix my other account. I wanted to change my email address, but gave the wrong email and now I can't reply or post messages among other functions. How do I go about fixing that?!
