I have seen on numerous sites on how Hmongs claim that other minority group hates on them... but instead i have come to a realization that Hmongs hate on others and themselves even more. They help to contribute these sort of feelings because of the ignorance some of us put fourth and portray. How can Hmongs as a whole be victims when America has offer more freedom then any other countries?

i would have to agree, BUT i just have to say this...for once can we just focus on the "HMONGS" alone and i really mean ALONE and not say that others are like this and that too? because we all know that that is true...I just realize that every time a topic like this is voiced, we tend to say, "well, other race are like that too, not just us." but for once...focus on the Hmongs alone...what drives US (not literally us us personally but just Hmong as a whole) to be this way? I mean...let's just say that HMONG is A person and tell why HMONG is like this...define HMONG's behavior...I know that hmongs are human beings like the rest of the world that contains human beings, that all behaviors may be the same, BUT...narrow this down to only just the Hmong people...

ok...i've done some thinkin...and i have concluded that an amount of Hmong people hate each other and others so much for the main reason of SUPERIORITY; though it be a big or a small feeling of being superior.

List all the things that creates hate and all will lead you to superiority (I've listed a four):
Respect (ex: gangsters, religion, old folks, kids: attack for respect of others)
Fame (ex: gangsters, old folks, kids: attack for fame, to be known by all)
Pride (ex: self, religion: attack for protection of pride in certain areas)
Greed (ex: money, food: attack for betterment of self)


Oh...one more thing...and it is true that some of us hate each other and others very much...but when it comes to us alone...we so hate each other...if we try to attack other races...we dare not to...but if we attack our own race...we dare to with no hesitation...

Well, based on your limited definition I'm not of Hmong origin since: 1. I don't hate other Hmong people as you describe. 2. I don't see myself as being selfish as you describe. 3. I don't think I'm superior to any other Hmong.

But I know that I am of Hmong origion which leads to only one conclusion: you are sadly mistaken and your definition isn't about Hmong but about your own narrow view of others and you are merely mislabeling it as Hmong because you don't have any understanding of what Hmong is. Hahaha. Fine, racism doesn't exist anymore. Hmong are being treated as a white person. Take Chai Vang for example. Those white man were loving him and giving him hugs and it's because he's a Hmong that he hated on them and killed them all. 1. You have to consider that Hmongs have been minority in every country they (as in WE) have settled in. We abide by their laws. Our culture is influenced by theirs and some how, we grow up with the embedded ideas that we need to adapt to them. With that in mind, we set ourselves apart from the majority (Americans, for example).. After that, we look amongst our people and start dividing the lines one who is more American, who is more of this and that.. Shoot, it even goes as far as wanting to look Korean or BE Korean (haha, yeah, you Hmongs know what I'm talking about)... yes.. it's people's ignorance that has a factor in the hating. It's also the weight of their discontent in smply being Hmong and knowing that they ARE Hmong...

2. We may have the freedom in America but there's still a lot of horrible things that are happening to the Hmongs in other parts of the world. Just the thought of recent tortures and discriminations still gets to me. We may be standing on a land of freedom, but we got a longgg way to go in exploring opportunities that this country offers us. It's a pity that some Hmongs simply don't care. Any ways.. like said.. we need to reduce tripping over who's more American, who's more fine-looking, who's more "npab nauj", etc.. ..

I've been readng a lot of these replies and I have to agree with some of you and disagree with some. The question was"Why do Hmongs hate?" Somewhere along the replies was Hmongs will always be looked down upon by the white people.
Well, in my opoinon, there are some ignorant arse Hmong people out there who thinks they are better than everyone else. Now don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with having pride in yourself. Just don't take it over and above thinking everyone will bow down to you.
The only reason why white people would look down on Hmong people and treat some of them the way they do is because there are some who doesn't deserve to be treat any better. For example, Hmong gangs: now what does that tell you? If you want to be treated with respect, than respect yourself enough not to lower yourself. There are some Hmong people who just proves to white people that we can never be better than them because of the way we carry ourself. Hmong people gives them the reason to look at us the way they do. Its not what Hmong as a whole do, but because of what a couple of stupid ones do. So could you really blame them for lookning down at us like they do? For the things that some Hmong people do, we as a whole take blame and fault for.

hmong people have big egos ... they think they are the best at everything ... i dont blame others for hating us ... .... so then in order to make ourselves feel better ... we hate on other people ... hmong people dont know how to accpet others ....
