THE Philippine Alliance Against Pornography Inc. is urging the Roman Catholic Church, all other religious groups and the Filipino people “to immediately withdraw support” from ABS-CBN.
In a statement circulated to media organizations, PAAP spokesperson Aldo Filomeno said ABS-CBN had “declared total war against children, the lowly and oppressed” by showing “no remorse ... despite the massacre of more than 80 people and injuries to hundreds, during the fateful morning of ‘Wowowee’s’ first anniversary.”
ABS-CBN should have cancelled “Wowowee” altogether, Filomeno insisted.
He added: “Various shows ... on the Lopez-owned [network] promote seduction, lust, pornography, marital infidelity, debauchery, graphic display of violence and criminal activities. Only evil spirits will enjoy watching these highly questionable programs.”
