There are alot of Cambodian celebrities I have known because as obviously I have continually watching traditionally khmer movies and karaokes.
Most of them are reasoneably attractive and beautiful in many ways.
But for now, under my opinion, I think CHAN CHANLEKANNA is the best and should have featured on Asafinest forum because she is an actress, singer and most most importantly portraying her image as role model for the fans.
But more closely related to the question '' why'' because, obviously khmer forum is part of Asiafinest forum. There are sufficient quantity of khmer members approaching AF for many years as result. Therefore, to be fair
there is no question that you should feature khmer celebrities.

Lastly, seeing Cambodian celebrities on AF is confidently boosting more khmer members participating in AF.

Just my opinion.

Haing S. Ngor, he won 3 Academy Awards for best actor in The Killing Fields (1984) but was later killed by gangsters in L.A.

Yes,Haing S. Ngor, what's a tragic? He's survived polpot regime, But got killed by some punk@ss khmer kids! to my knowledge he's the only khmer celebrities that involved in Hollywood.

What about Preap Savat? Whether or not people like him, he is the most famous person in Cambodia right now.

How about Touch Srey Nich, she was the #1 singer until she got shot.

I think Pichenda deserves it because shes been around for quite awhile and most Cambodians know her?

My favorite male singer would have to be Nop Bayarith. He's got a great voice and he doesn't scream like a choked chicken like Preab Savat.

Stop trying to Oriental wash Khmer culture.... Nop Bayarith is 100% ethnic Chinese, and those songs are not Khmer songs....

How do you know he's ethnic Chinese? He's got a full Khmer name. Most ethnic Chinese retain their Chinese names in Cambodia, not like in Thailand where everything is Thai-ized and in Vietnam where everything is translated into Vietnamese.

The reason why I cannot chose any of these khmer singers as a real artist because they don't produce their own musics None of them has any talented. As for me I feel it is very embarrassing to listen to khmer musics these day due to every good song I heard in khmer are all duplicated from foreign musics.

As for Kim Leakena and Meng Keopichend,these two b!tches needed to stop catting around with their voice.

As for Nop Bayarith, I like his voice but the kid needed to learn how to write and produce his own music to be as a gifted artist.

She is not an entertainer. Therefor she can't be chosen as an artist.

Celebrities don't have to be entertainers. A celebrity is a well-known/reputable person or someone with fame; the president of America is also considered a celebrity; though he did put quite a show for us.

I think that there should be celebrities from Cambodia because there are no real celebrities in the US, etc. except for Haing Nor and he's dead.

It's funny how some people like to critize those that don't have talent cuzz they don't write their own songs... Mayb you should open up your eyez and look at majority of singers in the US Entertainment business that actually write the own songs... Only a few do and most of them get song written for them... I think you should start reading the inside of the CD case more... A lot of Artist don't write their songs most of them just sing it for the writers... So don't b quicc to judge them cuzz they don't write their songs... If you were so talented why don't you do your own Karaoke album for the world to see... Sorry if I offended anyone but I'm just tired of seeing our own communities looking down on one another... We can do better that... Just be happy that we got Khmer artists/actor(ess) performing for our entertainment...
