My friend lived in Japan for about 4 years through JET program. All he did was party, get laid, and learn Japanese. So, to sum it up, I think it's a fabulous program!

From what I've heard, they normally send you off to some God-awful, out-of-the-way place. shifty.gif

Interesting....My friend was stationed in Tokyo, where the action is. Heh. I guess he got lucky.

Anyways, regardless of where you're stationed, you're still going to get some native booty. Heh.

If you are going to learn about the culture and teach about the life from your home country, it will the time of your life. Go for it.

If you are going because you think everyone looks like Ayumi or Gackt, and little girls in sailor uniforms that are horny and like gaijin abound you will be sadly disappointed.

The thing about any culture is there is the good and the bad, and you have to take it as it is. Learn much and godspeed.
