If your from the Bay Area then Sacramento will probably only disappoint you.
It depends on how old you are and your interests.
Go to Stockton Blvd. for all the Pho you want and Viet town activities.
There's Arden Mall, Downtown Mall, Roseville Mall, and now IKEA!!!
If your over 18 or over 21 go to the downtown area for bars, clubs, and nightlife.

I moved to Sacramento kinda recently too. I went from Japan, to Berkeley, and ended up in Sac. :/, SHe's right tho. Its so boring here unless you know alot of people.

The asian community in sacramento is not very diverse. I hardly see any japanese, koreans, thais, or cambodians. There are A LOT of Hmong and Mien, a handful of Chinese, very few lao, and quite a few filipinos. I believe Berkelely is more diverse when it comes to other ethnicities. We have very big hmong population in northern california. It is pretty boring here but we make due, all everyone wants to hit up is the Rage on thursday nights and they keep the parties pretty secretive and invite by race. Pretty wack. but there are some cool people out there.

Go to Dires Lane, I hear that place is plenty fun at night, and look at the road when you go :p

My sister lives an hour north west of Sac area. It's in a small up-start town called Live Oak. She commutes to and from Bealy Air Force Base, where she works. That's a hell of a commute!

Sac is definitely about just chillin. Just find the right people to chill with and you good. Everyone does the same thing.
