In japne, now Gundam seed is popular with japanese(Gundam seed is the newist Gundam animation)
What japanese animation is popular in your country?
In japan, OTAKU often is disliked. In your country, is OTAKU disliked?

However,in japane, the trend that one likes animation is disliked exist.

Hmm...In Malaysia, the famous animation would be...I'm not very sure, but Japanese animation is very famous here. But some popular animes are Vandread, Gensoumaden Saiyuki, Ranma 1/2, Dragonball, Samurai X, Final Fantasy, Boys Be, Pokemon, Gundam, Digimon, Hamtaro, Cardcaptor Sakura, Slamdunk and Evangelion.
As for me, my favourite animes are Final Fantasy and Samurai X. ^_^
I haven't really heard of any 'otaku' in Malaysia, but I believe there are some. Like me and my friends, we like Japanese anime and manga, but we are not 'otaku's. In Malaysia, however, 'otaku's are not disliked. But there are very few real 'otaku's around.

Oh, a lot of Malaysian youths are going crazy about Japanese animation! There's this magazine, KREKO, which features some informaton about popular Japanese celebrities, Japanese culture and Japanese animations. It also features some selected Japanese mangas translated into Malay, the Malaysian national language. Japanese animations are often translated into Malay in Malaysia, but if an anime has already been translated into English, like an English version of Samurai X from the U.S, then we (the Malaysians) will view it in English. I've never watched Gensoumaden Saiyuki, but I've heard a lot about it. My friends watch it, though. They like Gensoumaden Saiyuki very much, and they like to talk about it in school.

Yes, I know who Goku is. I don't like Sanzo, though. He smokes and drinks too much.

But a lot of the girls in my class are crazy over Hakkai, and I don't know why. Maybe it's because he is very polite. One girl in my class, though, likes Gojyo.
Oh, I haven't heard of 最遊記RELOAD GUNLOOK. I don't think it is out in Malaysia yet. Do you like to watch 最遊記RELOAD GUNLOOK?

I'm not sure if Gundam Seed has been telecasted in my country or not. However, those who subscribe ASTRO(a TV Channel) in Malaysia would be able to see a lot of Japanese animations in ASTRO's AXN Channel. There are also some Japanese animations in Malaysia's TV3 and NTV7 Channels, but not as much as Astro's AXN Channel. However, I would like to see it too one day. What time do they usually show Gundam Seed in Japan?

In Russia anime is getting more popular last time, though most of people even don't know what is it

. Some think it is "chinese porno animation"

. Nevertheless, little by little more and more people are getting ottakued

.
As it is almost impossible to buy legal dvd animes licensed for Russia (except few titles) main anime providers are wz-traders, who have large collections of anime.
Personally, my favourite animes are Noir, Scryed, Slayers, Hellsing and some others

MONSTER by Urasawa Naoki recently became an anime. MONSTER is by far one of the greatest Japanese manga/anime. Urasawa has been receiving world-wide aclaim for his beautiful pictures and suspenseful stories and his current manga 20th Century Boys is AWESOME too. Most Japanese manga readers know of Urasawa, he has been receiving many awards within Japan and abroad. If you are non-Japanese and have not read any of his manga, go to www.mangascreener.com and check out the translated versions. I have the actual manga and I think the translations at mangascreener are pretty amazing. Check it out.
