Anyone been camping in California? Know any good places or websites? Any recomendations?
I have been researching lately and have found so many campsites I don't know what to choose from. I have eliminated a lot but there's so many. Any help would be nice. Thanks and if you want to aim me, hit me up at azyattic87.
Never had time for camping. But in Marin County there are sites connected to the Mountrain Biking Trails that I noticed. Anyways you'd find better luck in the Local Cali Chat

That's easy. Yosemite is the best national forest in the entire state, maybe the entire nation?

Joshua Tree National Park is awesome. It's good if you're into views and stuff. A nice break from the usual coniferous forest. There's cool rock formations, beautiful patterns blown into the sand, and Joshua tress of course.
And of course there are the lakes. Like Lake Arrowhead, Matthews, Perris, Elsinore, etc, etc.

I think the best national forest in socal has to be the San Bernardino National Forest. I like the coniferous forest atmosphere. You'll really feel like you're in a forest with all those redwood trees they've got up there. Also, you get to pick from Big Bear Lake, Silverwood Lake, and Lake Arrowhead. It's about a 2 hour drive from LA or OC... without traffic that is.
